laptop claim dilema

i am insured with a very reputable insurance company and i recentley had an accident with my daughters laptop(ribena and electrics dont mix)
i spoke to the laptop manufacturer(sony) as i didnt want to claim on the house insurance and they quoted around £50 less than what i paid for the laptop 18 months ago to repair it.

so i decided to claim on the insurance now the insurance company took a week to sort it out but they were super efficent and they passed it onto a well known group of stores to replace the laptop

now heres my dilema they specced the laptop on roughly the same as we originally had apart from it had vista. and then they told me it would take upto 30 days to deliver know its my daughters laptop and she needed it this week for college. i informed them of this and they said not a problem and they would send me the equivilant in vouchers.
i also have a £100 excess on the policy which i would have to pay in store.

so i recieved the vouchers saturday and off i trotted to the store. i was gobsmacked when i got there as the laptop was £100 cheaper than what they had told me on the phone. i was blazing
basically the vouchers were for £699 with my £100 excess payable and the laptop was £599 so i would actually be paying £100 more as there was no refund from the vouchers.

what should i do should i get on with it or should i contact the insurance company and let them know what is going on or do you think they will be in on it or at least know of the methods used.

no the only way i can see round this is go for a better spec laptop and add the difference and this is the only way i would get the full value off the vouchers

help what would you all do....?????????????????????????
need to have a lightbulb moment

You've got (can get?) an identical replacement laptop & it's only cost you the £100 insurance excess. What's the problem?
In fact unless the voucher says you have to pay the 1st £100 you might even get it without paying the excess
