Did mine the other day, came to £179, that's with direct line.

I ended up with Hastings this year. Axa can't come close to matching any of the quotes I got.

i cant tell if my car insurance was cheaper than last year as i changed cars during the year with a smaller engine size. Originally with axa for my car they were able to lower it by £50 from the renewal price but abbey (my contents insurance) couldnt come anywhere near matching it by about 170£. did however keep my contents insurance with them as they were cheaper than axa. Axa did say on the phone that car insurance premiums are up this year.
