Personally I have never had a problem with ANY supplier in my life, including Npower and I ve had quite a few over the years. Maybe its because I don t expect a supplier to manage my affairs, I do it myself, I do not rely on estimates and I make sure my direct debit is nt fooling me by being set too low. Sainsburys Energy (British Gas ) now has the cheapest dual fuel direct debit in the UK.
Why not just be an adult accept that not everyone thinks the sun shines out of Sainsburys backside have your say and move on refraining from insults. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I was with Sainsbury's Energy a few years ago and their customer service was great on the few occasions I needed to contact them. I only left as at the time I found a cheaper tariff elsewhere. As for reading reminders, I am sure I got them via email, did my readings and if I happened to be in at a time when someone came round to read the meters - I checked what they recorded like I would anyone (I don't believe they were directly employed by Sainsbury's / BG anyway but a 3rd party company who read for a number of suppliers - though I might be mixing them up with someone else.
Would have no issue switching back if it made financial sense for me to do so.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

It is of course 100% British Gas,same call centre and sales team, who are the UK s biggest supplier. They operate a very efficient call centre and website.
OFGEM stopped "white label " brands from offering cheaper tariffs than the parent company last year. They used to be one of the UKs best deals but when I looked recently their tariffs were back in line with BGs, expensive !
I switched to BG earlier this year as they were cheaper than my previous supplier. I have now recvd my latest bill and BG advise me that I can save app £300 by switching to Sainsbury's so perhaps OFGEM now allow the switch again.0 -

I did exactly the same, moving to a very good BG Collective 2017 from Sainsburys Energy when OFGEM outlawed white label cheaper tariffs than the parent supplier. It looks like this has changed now looking at Sainsburys excellent dual fuel new tariff. I m tempted to move back to this new tariff if I can collect another cashback. It looks a good move Nickcc.
I have BG smart meters and switching to Sainsburys is a doddle.Smart switching is in force with these two .0
