How do I paint a concrete block wall?

I have to paint about 35sqM of concrete block wall.

Which is the best paint to use? Should I be using a masonary paint, if so, which make? I hope to have a cream finish.

Should I thin the first coat? I imagine the blocks just soaking up the paint or do I use a sealer first?

Is it best to brush it or roll it?

All info and best paint to use will be appreciated.

Exterior wall finish/masonry paint, in the 5litre tubs, best value.

All the DIY stores have own brands, but if it's white you want, Dulux Weathershield in Wilikinsons with 25% extra free packs, if they've any left, made it as cheap as own brand.

Buy the smooth, rather than textured, as it'll go further. & use a 6'' brush & it'll get in all the little holes in the wall, that a roller will miss.
