Finding out my Egg Card account details

Had an Egg card earlier 2000s that may or may not have had PPI on. Coming up against a wall or bureaucratic evasion with Royal Canada in trying to find out my account details etc....(stupidly I have lost these). Any tips bar breaking into their offices and doing a search myself?

Presumably you mean Canada Square Operations? There is nothing 'royal' about them.

Well you can send them a SAR and a cheque for £10 to establish what info they hold on you. But be advised that it is 5 years since Egg got out of the credit card business altogether, and about 10 years since you had a card with them, so it is within the realms of possibility that they genuinely have no record of you at all.

I remember that the Egg credit card business was purchased by Barclaycard many years ago. Dont know if that would be the case with yours... maybee try that avenue.

This may be better in the reclaiming PPI section of the forum.

I had an Egg credit card and a loan with them.

I didn't contact them, Canada Square, actually wrote to me, twice, attaching a form both times to fill in, about claiming back PPI on them. I got my PPI back both times.

There is a good chance therefore you may not have had PPI.
