Parking and Stay Gatwick

Hi
The Christmas before last we stayed at the Premier Inn at Gatwick and it included parking for a week and we got a good deal. We are going away this Christmas and when we checked this prices they seem really expensive.
It was ideal as we didn't need to mess about getting busses etc.
Have prices gone up this year or is it because Christmas is on a weekend?
Can anyone recommend where to look for a good deal parking and staying at the airport please.
