Hi,
Looking for local information on the above three areas please: Two Mile Ash/ Great Holm / Loughton.
Are they much for muchness or is one better than the other? Two Mile Ash seems more reasonably priced?
Our key factors are good schooling & easy walk to the station so we'd like to be in one of those three areas I think but are they much for muchness? Or should we avoid one? Or pay a price premium to be in another?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

The West end if Two Mile Ash is very nice.
Loughton is an old village. Swallowed up by the town. It has a green, church, pubs, cottages etc. And walking from the station.
The same house in all three, I would choose Loughton in a heartbeat.0 -
Thank you,
How about Great Holm ?
Should the three areas be proved about the same or would you expect to pay more for some?0 -
Great Holm has a lake and some park land which is lovely. There are some very expensive housing in that direction. The rest is fine. They are all great areas. Each has a variety of housing and some pricey areas.
Two Mile Ash has a golf course. Loughton also has lakes and an equestrian centre, an old village and is in walking distance of the station (some parts). Oh and a couple of pubs too.
All the schools have good reputations and Ofsted (from memory). Two Mile Ash is the largest primary school in the area, which means they can offer a wide range of activities, etc.
The two infant schools (Ashbrook on Two Mile Ash and Holmwood were federated under the same head teacher, though I'm not sure if this is still the case), Loughton Manor infant school also has a nursery (Foundation 1) class. They are all popular and can be oversubscribed, so it might be worth finding out about vacancies.
They are building two brand new schools in the area opposite TMA, one due to open this year and the other next. I think the new build areas are called Fairfield and White House.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
