Beneficiary trace enquiry

Just wondering if anyone can help.
Currently applying for a mortgage with Leeds building society in final stages any day now.
Just checked my credit file and RBS group have made a type 2 search on my file marked beneficiary trace enquiry, is this in any way linked to my morg application or something completely separate? I have an account with Natwest literally 2p in it I don't use it, in the past years ago I had RBS accounts but closed years ago?

I don’t know for certain but this Call Credit webpage seems to use the same terminology, so it might relate to tracing heirs to a will or something similar.
