Woke up feeling MSE renewed and revived! Yesterday was NSD #9 - we still have 9 days left for November so I will smash my 10 a month target.
No spends this week, I have petrol in my car and food in the fridge. Child maintenance goes in next Monday and wages Wednesday. I have £10 in my purse.
I'm on a course for 2 days and have booked into some classes at the gym after work. Determined not to spend.0 -
Come on Louby, you can do this!!
Such a good feeling when you meet and exceed your NSD target (I've only done it once) and it provides that extra bit of encouragement for future months.
You all sorted for Xmas?0 -
No not quite sorted yet. I've bought a few things but not everything yet. I've got some vouchers that I'm going to use to pay for presents to keep costs down.
I know I'll go overdrawn a bit as I didn't start saving for Christmas until July. We're also having Christmas here, so extra costs incurred for food and drink.
January will be a VERY frugal month!0 -
Oooo a few more days before Novembers money rolls in.
This month has been tough. No spending this weekend apart from an Aldi food shop0 -
Stuck to my guns and only spent £48 in Aldi. And today is NSD #11. That's a record!
I've juggled some money around so that most of my debt is all in one place. This will make it easier to transfer money to, as it's a credit card linked to my bank account. It just feels psychologically better somehow. I need to pay this bit of transfer off quickly as it isn't on a 0% - I may set up a DD to pay it off monthly.
I have £73 left on my Barclaycard to clear which I can do easily.
I still have a few things to buy for Christmas but have some vouchers to use which will help.
Roll on January when everything settles down!0 -
Morning,
£73 left on the B/Card. That'll feel great to pay that off, go you!!!0 -
Speky I will really enjoy seeing £0 on my Barclaycard but I've still got the same debt really, it's just been shifted to another card. BUT, somehow it seems better psychologically - if that makes sense!
2017 is my DEBT FREE year!! Woo hoo :j:j:j0 -
Decided to do a fresh start in YNAB, which if anyone uses it will know it's an absolute pain. But, I'd got into a pickle not being on the ball with it recently and I realised it's because I've not been totally honest with my budget.
So fresh start. Payday tomorrow. Small amount left on one CC to sort.
I know December will get out of control money wise if I'm not careful so I'm determined to keep on track with my budget.0 -
I'm going to start YNAB in January. I am that person with great plans for the New Year....New Year, New Me :rotfl:
You are so focused and motivated and making great progress.
Have your decorating plans started yet? xxStarting debt £18,675.63
Current debt: £5,000 (16/05/18)0 -
Thanks Reality but I really aren't that motivated, it goes in fits and starts - but this diary definitely helps!
Not doing any decorating or home improvements until next year. My DF date is July so from then on it's save, save save!!!0
