Hi
I entered my first ever competition on a radio station and won quite a lot of money.
My question is..after I'd won they took my bank details and said they pay me via bacs and that it could take up to 28 days although it should be sooner..just a bit miffed as I thought bacs payments took a maximum of 5 days??

The Bauer radio comps take 7 days to arrive, which radio station was it?0

Why are you miffed? You have won money. Most of us would be over the moon to win some money.
Ref taking too long - most companies say prize will be with you in 28 days. It doesn't physically take 28 days for the courier to deliver, but rather it takes them 28 days to sort paperwork/speak to promoter of the comp/actually bother shipping the prize etc so it's nothing unusual for a prize to take that long and I shouldn't think cash prizes would be any different0 -
It takes flaming forever unfortunately, they love dragging their heels
I once had to wait 12 weeks for a prize
Congrats on the great first prize0 -
I won £1000 from Classic FM earlier in the year, it took just over a month to arrive. Congratulations on your win that's a brilliant one to start with, you'll be hooked now! Congratulations on your win
I won £1000 from Kiss fm earlier in year and it took about 2 weeks to arrive, but this was cheque not bacs. I assumed bacs was three day transfer. No harm in ringing to ask.0 -
Well done
