Morning everyone,
Dull and raining here, now there's a surprise!
Despite the weather we have had a lovely holiday, relaxed when needed but enjoyed getting out and about. We are treating ourselves this morning to a cooked breakfast out and then will head for home, as always I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight and sitting on a comfortable sofa!
We won't be taking Mum home until tomorrow and then only because she has a commitment with something on at the church, she always seems a tad low after a break so will extend it for as long as possible!
TA hope day goes as well as possible
Nmlc ouch, that's sounds a nasty old reaction, hope it's sorted soon.
Have a good Friday everyone, take care folks x0 -
Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Its a grey morning, I have a load in the washer, will risk putting it out, can finish it off in the dryer if I have to.
Yesterdays exhibition at the U3A went off ok. I was asked if I had any spare places, I had to say no, the lady belongs to another quilting group in the U3A. Its up to her to ask the class leader to demo what she wants to do.
My ladies were all bar one beginners, they have done very well in the 18 months since we started and the group has jelled well together. I was congratulated yesterday by the chairlady on the progress the group has made.
Its keeping me on my toes thinking of things for them to do.
Friday clean to do. OH wants a hand to take the net off the brassicas so he can weed, so will do that before I start the cleaning.
Fish and mustard mash tonight for supper.0 -

Nmlc thats sounds awful I hope you can get it sorted possibly the dressing maybe causing it.I can only have a certain type of dressing and its everywhere on my Dr.s notes and hospital notes as there is a severe reaction to the normal stuff You poor thing you must have been in agony. x
Dumpling you do what you feel makes you good honey, and if the BSD works for you then go for it. You are doing so well don't get put down by anyone x

Camelot ,good old Mum always to the rescue when the cupboards are a bit barexx
Today is History Club day always a great end to the week for me we eat cake (hm of course) that our tutor provides, drink coffee and talk about our favourite subject whats not to like:):) Today is about Thomas Coram who started the foundling hospital in London so should be interesting.
No food shopping to buy as I am still eating my way through my food cupboards. Tomorrow I have a Coffee morning to go to at a local church and in the evening a charity quiz night so it will be a busy day.On Sunday DGS Ben's new young lady Candice is coming down from London to DDs and we are having a family dinner.DD met her last weekend when they picked Ben up to bring him home from Uni, and she said she seemed very pleasant. So quite a busy weekend ahead, hope the weather brightens up a bit though.
<<Hugs>> to those who are feeling a bit low and I hope everyone has a nice weekend, despite all the hoo-ha about the footie and the referendum.Be glad when its all over and normal life can resume to be honest
Dreadfully sad about the young MP bless her who lost her life yesterday
Take care all, and be nice to one another

Back from the docs and now booked in for an ECG and fasting bloods next Friday.
Nmlc - sorry to read about your reaction, one just can't tell!
I did an early morning wash and got it out on the line before docs, it's now dry so I can get down the road.
I took my new Gtech upstairs to give it a try, the amount of dust it's lifted is just amazing. No doubt when I use it regularly this will diminish as all the old stuff left behind by previous machines gets lifted.
Right, that's me away. Sun is streaming everywhere though I heard the forecast this morning on the radio which was thunderstorms everywhere except south east England, ha!0 -
I'm on the corner of Kent and we've had thunder and rain, so it didn't miss us Gers!Carolbee0

The builders have been here all day working on the kitchen. The electrician comes round on Monday to fit a new circuit board but I should be able to use the washing machine etc over the weekend.
It looks as if it is going to chuck it down with rain any minute so might wait till tomorrow to try to get laundry done. Carpets for the living room and the main bedroom have arrived and will be fitted next week.
I have put on a couple of pounds so from tomorrow I am going to be sensible with what I eat. An order from approved fo*ds should arrive next week with stuff like marinades, fancy stock cubes, tins of tomatoes, noodles to add to wok and a lot of other bits and bobs.
I fell off the low carbing with a vengeance and have been scoffing thickly buttered bread rolls which has not helped weight loss strangely enough
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Car went for its MOT, needed 3 new light bulbs, but passed, phew. I now need to start looking for insurance, it's due n txt month, also the house insurance.
Not a bad day, got the washing dry, a nice evening, although it spoils itself by raining.
Over 60's tea tomorrow. OH might be playing bowls, if he is I get a doggy bag for him.
Nothing on TV tonight except football, so we watched a couple of videoed programmes, then decided to come to bed to read. Cup of tea, chocolate digestive bicycle and a book!!0
