in Credit cards
Hi all.
I'm of an age where I've not really considered credit scoring to be something that is very important to me, no mortgage, no borrowing etc.
Early 2014 I applied for and got an interest free credit card (via this site actually). This was for a specific purpose to offset some expenses and its now all paid off. £0 balance on the account.
The "Interest Free" period is now nearly over and I'm think of simply contacting them and closing the account but a friend suggested I didn't do this as he says it will affect my credit score adversely.
I have 2 credit cards with my bank which I use as charge cards, never any balance on them, so I probably don't need a third card, but you just never know what's around the corner.
I guess I'll take any free opportunity to up my credit worthiness so what's the advice from you good people here?
Regards

So if you're not bothered about your credit score a minor impact to it should not worry you?
If you have other cards then you can close this card down with no real impact in any case, so it's down to whether it would concern you to leave this account open and the likelihood of an expense occurring that you might find use for the additional card for.0
