Rhos so glad the day went well despite the hiccups. The tables look amazing, so pretty.
The photo of your dd and family is lovely. A day to remember for everyone, your friends and family, and for us here too. So lovely to be able to share in your happiness.

Rhos I am so glad that the day was a success just think how boring it would have been with caterers.

Bubbs I have deleted my quote and I have to say that dh believes it is wrong g to keep Owls incaptivity but I don't, they are my favourite creature (as anyone who is my friend on Facebook will know ) and as long as they are treated right I think it is fine. Yes it would be lovely to think that they would be better off living wild but that comes with so many dangers too.

A pharmacist told me that tablets are fine unless they crumble or smell of vinegar. Liquids and liquid capsules do go off, but tablets last past their sell by date. Obviously, you make up your own mind, but for every day tablets, I use them way past their dates.

:) Yes I agree with you. Boxes of Ibuprofen kept & even found Co-Proxomol  :o

    WOW!! Utterly gorgeous!!!
(And not sure which Elite gave you those fizz glasses, but they obviously had good taste, they are lovely, and a good choice by B&G to choose to use them.)

So to summarise. by all means leave keys in locks if you are in the house BUT not if you are out.

Mrs ids sounds like you had an opportunist walk in. The police take these a bit more seriously as you are in the house at the time.
I had one years ago when we were in front room eating fish and chips. Didn't notice, hubby went to look for wallet and couldn't find it so asked me to find purse so he could go up pub. Wasn't untl he was in pub he found out about 12 houses had had walk ins that evening. All houses backed onto the same field.
My handbag and car keys had been taken and hubbys wallet. Very lucky that he had moved the large envelope of cash from kitchen window cill when he had a shower. What thief was doing was watching back of house and if noboby came into the back room (kitchen) for 10 mins he tried the door. Police found him walking along the road counting the money.
My handbag was found with keys when someone was pruning a bush the next summer.

Hope this info helps those taking holidays.

A few years ago before I took as much notice of money, I had a nice car and some scumbags came in the house and knicked my car keys. I was at my mates wedding at the time and got a call. Had to leave the wedding to sort it out. Luckily I also had a Landrover at the time, so could block it in. Sold it a week later (someone at the other end of the country) as it was easier/cheaper than getting the lock set/immobiliser changed.

I always thought you should not leave keys in locks as it was easier to turn them as all the pins were in the correct place to turn, probably wrong, but just what I thought.

Evening all, just catching up ATM.

even though several set backs the hair dresser got lost and turned up 10 mins before we were leaving, dd oh took the car keys when he left and he had the car seats locked in the car, luckily the hairdresser saved the day and had hers in her car.

Im a big believer in fate. If the hairdresser had not got lost and turned up so late, perhaps she would have already left before you realised you needed some car seats, fate, amazing but scary thing.

What is bara brith? If its as nice as tablet, you best just send me some as I will not understand your explanation ;)
Having just sat in the kitchen and squeezed 10kg of sliced rhubarb for wine, I'm after a press now :rotfl:

If nothing else, I'm gonna need them for this years grapes  :rotfl:

If anyone hears of a decent one going for a reasonable price, please shout. Loudly!

Build your own, its not hard Q of C, if I can do it, anyone can, I will see if I can add a pic to this post.

Has anyone seen 10 Cloverfield lane yet? I fancy the storyline as it sounds interesting, but dont particularly like horrors. Is it more of a horror or a thriller/drama?

    Morning. EDIT

Since posting this morning all the cereals in the offer are now showing at £2.00 a box.
I have seen confirmation of a cruncy nut corn flake shop £6.00 Asda v £5.00 in Morries, and also can confirm the Weetabix.

New Kellogg’s cereals offer currently missing update – 3 for £5.00 in Asda.

Comparisons were taken off Mysupermarket earlier (which is currently down for maintenance) but as we know with Morries, depends if price collectors have done their job properly  Morries offers run to 7 August.

Multi currently missing on new 24 pack Weetabix offer, £2.68 each, offer 2 for £4.00 – only golden syrup flavour.

    https://groceries.asda.com/promotion/2-for-pound350/ls87511

    On offer in Morries at 2 for £3.00. £5.36 v £3.00 so £1.34 for 2 boxes after APG :)

Multi missing off the Heinz meals, offer 5 for £3.00.

    https://groceries.asda.com/promotion/2-for-pound350/ls87515

Ravioli £1.00, Macaroni Cheese £1.05, Spaghetti Bolognese £1.07 and Spaghetti with Sausages £1.05. These are on offer in Waitrose 2 for £1.50.

Would have to buy in 10’s.

The Heinz Chilli beans, BBQ Beans and Beans Curry, all 95p, on offer in Morries 2 for £1.50.

Again would have to buy in 10’s.

Can’t see any offers on the Beans with Pork Sausages.

Hopefully Squigs might have enough time to add some figures.

The multi is also missing off these Asda tinned meals (some £1.50 and some £1.69) offer 3 for £4.00. On checking mysupermarket before it went down, some of them compared to Tesco at £1.29 each, but not much to be gained APG-wise.
