Our store was closing today. DIL had a gift card with £9.50 left on so ask me to go and grab something. However, you need to spend double that to be allowed to use it according to the rules of the administration process. What a con - was not happy and ended up not using it. A load of tat left in our store but a couple of other stores still open but quite a drive away - may try them.

Thats terrible:( didnt know about that rule

Please do not get me started on the school runners - twice a day it's like being a prisoner in the house and if either of us have the bare faced cheek to ask someone to move, it's US that gets abuse back :mad:

We knew there was a school when we moved in. What we didn't realise is just how bad it really would be. There are single yellows all across but that doesn't mean anything apparently

Have the same problem but do you come back and there are two cars parked on your drive? I've blocked them in 😀 and when they ask what are you doing, we can't get out, I reply well I live here and can't get in. Am I awful but left my car there for a while. 😀

Is everyone enjoying the nice weather as very quiet here

It is very quiet on here tonight. Oh is watching something on bbc4 which does not interest me so I am surfing. I am a misery and hate the hot weather but it does save on the heating bill but I do have trouble getting to sleep at night so am tired as a result.

That's even worse! I really feel for you - I don't think I could cope with all that as well as the school thing. And people going out by ambulance is a very real possibility- my dad drove to the GP with chronic indigestion only to be told it was a heart attack.

In September, I'm going to photograph the parking problem from the front bedroom and lodge a complaint to the council.

Make sure you do. DD has a mega problem as local hospital staff double park down her street. Feel sorry for the staff as hospital parking is so expensive but it causes so many problems for the residents. Even worse is that the hospital give directions where staff can park off site for free. Her OH is now constantly onto the police with photos, car reg numbers etc. It appears that the law is that parking is illegal if you are blocked and you cannot get out of your property but no problem if you can't get into it.

    good evening everyone.

Tiny, some help please, your inbox is full.

Sorry not in Wales this weekend :(

Hoping the weather is just glorious for Rhos and her DD, looking forward to the photos.

    Meeeee :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Sarah, sorry there is space now.

I have had one of those days you wish you could write off, seems we have sprung a leak somewhere above the new kitchen ceiling also above the new oak cabinets. :(

Would have to happen when we due to come out caravan for week. My TS said well we wouldn't cancel a foreign holiday! So we are here.

He drew pencil lines around what was a perfect circle of a damp patch size of small wine glass and set off on his bike I left hour later and it had expanded. :(

Dd2 going to keep eye on it, she joined us for BBQ this evening so told her to turn mains off while out to limit damage and we put bucket underneath. Have text our plumber but feeling he may be on his hols. Think this may end up being insurance job. Can't believe all that time I waited for my new kitchen and might have to have ceiling down already unless can try taking floorboards up in the bedroom to see but that gives me palpitations with my stashes.

As you can see also further along bit of the plaster had cracked and when Mr TS poked it came away showing the screw head which suggests to me that may be damp too. :(

And to cap it all I'm sure some of the wallboard over here in the caravan is softer than it was suggesting we didn't fix the leak last year. I just want to cry...
