Back from my birthday weekend in London,
we arrived Friday evening after stopping in a big A to get some sensodyne toothpaste which I cant get at home and an rtc ready meal for our supper. DS and DIL went to the cinema- they can only go out when we go as no one around to babysit- we had our supper, both children in bed ..then the 7 month baby woke up cried a little then was sick all down my back on my nightdress and on the floor:eek:...wonderful;)..then he cried and cried and cried for over an hour there was nothing to do to pacify him by midnight when they arrived home I was shattered...
Saturday we had a nice picnic at Greenwich, lovely and sunny and lots of happy people lovely relaxing day:), we had a meal in the evening at home which I cooked, and a bottle of wine and a lovely catch up. Both boys settled well, but the 2 year old decided at 5.30 am it was time to get up:eek:
after a normal morning routine of playing and feeding and nap time we all went off to have my special treat of an afternoon tea..it was deal they bought through wowcher and included a bottle of prosseco per couple..as I was then driving home a couple of hours later and me not drinking the manager allowed us to take the unopened bottle home
After loading up the car we then started home but stopped off at A at beckton for more toothpaste, whilst in the shop the heavens opened so we had a not very pleasant journey home with rain all the way to duxford, but the remaining journey to home was dry:)
after stopping off first to get our free drinks from 1 stop + T:) 4 hours later we arrived home:) only to be confronted by a blocked toilet:mad::eek:
Fortunately we used the other one, got the drain rods out this morning and cleared it!!....but what a welcoming home, what with that and teenage GS being mouthy I wanted to turn round and go back to London!!!
today we didn't venture out so I didnt even get the free maltesers:( we have just had a lazy day
HG happy birthday pleased you had a good day
snap hope your sister can make that phone call tomorrow and get started on her programme which will then give you a little respite
..and good evening to all elites
Hoping its dry tomorrow as its been raining on and off all day today:(0 -

On curry night on the cruise ships, they do a little dessert bowl that is a small triangle of bread soaked in condensed milk.
Must be a recognised dessert somewhere.
Edit: Possibly from Pakistan called shahi tukra?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
