    Evening peeps. :)

Spent the last couple of hours amusing myself wit an online scammer on freecycle. :D

They first offered a Mac book and were supposed to be around the corner from me, so I asked if I could have it.

Then it transpired that it belonged to a 'dead daughter' and they couldn't look at it anymore. Also couldn't look at a 43" tv and Samsung Galaxy 6 phone.

Also, that they had relocated to Norwich and suggested a courier could pick it all up if I payed!!

So I said that I had a niece living in Norwich going to Uni and that she could pick it up. :rotfl:

    Nothing back since. :rotfl:

    Edit - just got this.

i am new in this area and i do not give my address to no one . so if
you want the items,i will take the items to the courier and register.
then the courier will contact you on how to pay and get the items. as
    simple as that
just checked on the cost of delivery to your area and the delivery
charges are not so expensive. the delivery charges are in two parts
    you can either go for
a standard delivery for 25pounds or express delivery for 35pounds,
depending on which of them you will wish to take. i tried to find out
the difference between the charges, but they said with the standard
delivery it will take two days before delivery but with the express
it will take just max 7 to 8 hours before delivery. If you can afford
it then you get back to me
    with details for delivery.
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I had someone try this exact scam a few years ago - there was some detail they divulged which when Googled brought up a back street courier in Norwich if I recall correctly. Reported them and a warning came out to our Freecycle group at the time.

It just amazes me that they have to register on all the frrecycle places and then advertise the scam AND then reply!! It's a lot of effort to gain a few quid!!

These people do it all the time and get multiple victims. They also use various other means to get you to give more and more, before you catch on.

The best one I have come across is the selling of pedigree puppies cheap from Ireland, pay £200 for a £1000+ dog, then "Oh, vet fees £100", custom fees, insurance.... List goes on until they either get every penny, or the penny drops. They feed on greed, just like the " You won the Spanish lottery, just pay admin fee to receive £100,000.000 LOL

such a relief but you wont settle now until she has made the call incase she buckles again and has another wobble ....

He looks a bit Germanic in that hat and waistcoat VT. Is he wearing leather shorts?:rotfl:

No but wait until tomorrow when you will get to see his t shirt (ok it is a preemie baby vest but for gawd sake don't tell him)
Think he is wearing his hat a little low tonight.
