well after yesterdays very sticky heat that floored me we had rain overnight and now we have intermittent sunshine and grey overcast cloud and a bad gusty wind - it does not do the cats nerves any good or mine for that matter

We got our free Greggs cookies this morning - gross - I am on sugar overload now :D.

I had a think about this over the last few days so I gave them another ring - I'd heard another horror story about someone whose claim was not allowed as their travel insurer needed to know of any medical conditions over the last 5 years and this person had had antibiotics and not declared it.
With Nationwide travel insurance (its actually UK insurance) they only need to know what has happened to you medically in the last 12 months.
So I updated them on OHs conditions and with them you can upgrade for all conditions or disallow all conditions - you cant cherry pick. So both of OHs conditions are disallowed - they wanted £123.10 to upgrade.

I am wondering if I should get a quote from somewhere like Staysure just for OH so he is on his own travel insurance - he just has things he lives with, takes the meds, goes to work and carries on life as normal, taking the meds and going for appointments - no surgery, no hospital admittances, no inpatient appointments coming up .... (psoriatic arthritis and depression)
Its going to be cheaper than £123.10 anyway ...

I have used goodtogoinsurance.com for cruises and Sri Lanka. They were cheaper for us than staysure. I am still covered by LLoyds Bank but in recent years I have taken out joint cover so we are both on the same policy and, if anything did go wrong, then there is less chance of finding difficulties over one of us being covered to stay with the other one ifyswim. Dh is now 87 and its a real pain having to insure single trips rather than getting an annual policy. He does have a couple of 'conditions' (prostate cancer and reflux) but they are covered for very little extra.

Also they are on top cash back.

In T for CoS free Fanta (£1 cb).

Fanta Orange Zero shows Fanta on the receipt

Fanta Lemon Zero shows Fanta Lemon :(.

So no chance to vary your flavour, unless other flavours also just show Fanta.

I have a card but never get coupons.

Mum gets coupons quite regularly but she does bank with the Co-op so wondering if this makes a difference?

thanks for this - I will get a quote from them.

So you are sort of doubly insured - I suppose its better to put the goodtogoinsurance.com insurance details on the forms with your details.

Prostrate cancer is one of those ones you mostly live with and a lot of men over 80 have it - my dad did and he just had annual blood checks and if there was nothing elevated in his blood, there never was, he just lived with it, no symptoms in particular.

But as more and more people do live over 80 then the incidence of prostrate cancer and others that you just live with increases - its one of the questions uk insurance asked me about - cancers or heart conditions.

But I've always said if OH had to get air lifted off a ship then I was not going with him, I have to be dragged off ships on the final morning as it is kicking and screaming :rotfl:

I nearly made this mistake this morning, lumped the bottles into the trolley and went to SS tills and realised I had lemon instead of orange so back I had to go to swap them over ....
