Very confusing. I didn't get to Asda before the shop as it took me 30 mins to get into town instead of 10 normally as traffic was terrible and gave up trying to get parked so just headed up to shop and only just got there for starting at 1. But I will go on way home

It could also have been a case of them saying you had the wrong address on the documents so they would not pay out.
Insurance companies look for any chance to avoid paying out.
Which is probably worth a reminder - anyone taking out travel insurance, please declare any pre-existing conditions and if the company asks you if you have been treated for illness/been to the doctor within X years and you have declare it.
There was someone on FB a while back saying their insurance company was not paying up for a hospital stay because they had not declared they had been on antibiotics within the X years. They claimed they had not realised they had to declare because it was "just antibiotics", they did not say why they were on them or anything like that, but they were expecting people to get behind them and chastise the company. They did say who the company was so I went through the application and it did ask if they had been to the doctor within 5 years, you cannot miss it, they probably thought it would increase the premium.
It is pointless taking out travel insurance if you do not get the details right.
I had a think about this over the last few days so I gave them another ring - I'd heard another horror story about someone whose claim was not allowed as their travel insurer needed to know of any medical conditions over the last 5 years and this person had had antibiotics and not declared it.
With Nationwide travel insurance (its actually UK insurance) they only need to know what has happened to you medically in the last 12 months.
So I updated them on OHs conditions and with them you can upgrade for all conditions or disallow all conditions - you cant cherry pick. So both of OHs conditions are disallowed - they wanted £123.10 to upgrade.
I am wondering if I should get a quote from somewhere like Staysure just for OH so he is on his own travel insurance - he just has things he lives with, takes the meds, goes to work and carries on life as normal, taking the meds and going for appointments - no surgery, no hospital admittances, no inpatient appointments coming up .... (psoriatic arthritis and depression)
Its going to be cheaper than £123.10 anyway ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Blinking need this cider.
Just got up. Had to take mum to a& e last night as duty dr phoned to say her recent blood test results (taken thurs) showed mums calcium levels were very high again and she needs a drip to help bring them down before her monthly injection which is next Tues. a&e will be expecting us, so wont be delayed too long says he. Anyway, got there. Got signed in. 3 hours later they finally find a bed for mum, so much for expecting usIn that 3 hours had an extrmely agitated mum, trying to get out of her wheelchair and despite looking so weak, she has some strength in her legs. Spent 3 hours rocking said chair back and forth to try to calm her down.
So now mum is in hospital and hope the drip does the trick. The last few weeks, mums appetite has been getting worse and very hard to get her to drink anything and have to use a syringe. As you may remember she was in a hospice 2 weeks ago for assessment for the agitation and we suggested drips then and was told no, that no good grrrr. Anyway, so if the calcium levels are bought down that should help with the agitation and hopefully get her appetite etc back.
On another note, yesterday I was trying to contact quidco re the colgate toothpaste missing on my app. Well its back today so managed to put that receipt in.0 -

It depends
On Fred Olsen ships on a few mornings at the breakfast buffets they have bottles of cava to help yourself to or you can mix up a bucks fizz so you can have a glass of fizz with your bacon buttie - so 7 in the morning is never too early :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
