Good morning all“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

Good morning.
On Monday I was given another signed Man Utd shirt. I was told to use it for a charity of my choice. I am wondering whether to set up a just giving page and raise money for the families of the Manchester victims.
I'm thinking any donation could be an entry into a raffle.
Do you think its a good idea or do I just keep it for a future event for cancer research.0 -
Cheap toilet rolls. No idea what the quality is like. Thanks to Savvy UK Deals.

I would give it a couple of days, see how many other just giving pages are opened for this tragedy. No amount of money can bring the dead back, but it might be a case of some need ongoing treatment for life, this will become clearer over time and pages will be set up, yours might just be one among many.
Not saying it is not a lovely thought, but might turn into a drop in the ocean when other charities are crying out for money. Money tends to be given on emotive issues, and Manchester is one for sure.

Yeah good point, thank you.0 -
Lovely idea whichever you choose, Di, but Enterprise has a good point about waiting a while.
Also I think there might be legal requirements to be met to raffle something, think you might have to print tickets? Not sure, but best to check it out. x“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Morning all, we have lost the sun
hardly slept last night, various Errant son issues with no solutions but
i had a long chat with Eldest child which put it all into perspective, we probably have been too easy going with him in our quest for a quiet life with minimal hassle.
In the meantime Eldest child says it is tense in London, her tube goes right through the middle but she regularly walks from Farringdon into work which is what she was doing this morning.
She sent me part of a works interval email, sadly someone from the team based in one of the outer offices Sheffield, lost her life in Manchester.
I think this morning what happened in Manchester seems even worse, shock waves still echoing around“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Don't know if it is store specific, but bought this in T's, SEL was 2.50 but went through at 3.69. (1 litre carton)
Double the difference given without asking:D
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Morning all - couldn't get to sleep last night until early hours - so a late start for me
DS blue badge and clock are missing/stolen. - parked in car park and went to get it out from glove compartment and it was gone.
Checked everywhere indoors but we don't tend to bring it inside as others use the car to ferry DS around. Very odd, I do admit to leaving car unlocked sometimes but we live at the end of a cul de sac which is off a road, off another couple roads from the main drag and it's parked on a drive way. Anyway form en route so we can get a replacement.
My Sister is over from Oz and she gave me £300 to pay into my bank account, found my paying in book :rotfl: ( it don't get used very often) counted the notes out and filled in the form. However when the Cashier counted it had mysteriously increased to £320. :T. Wish all my cash did that. Another oddity as both Sis and I counted twice.
Hope everyone has a Good Day xx0
