Is this in S/ton? If so, what Accor hotel did you get for about £50 please? I still need one for October.

oh you are leaving it very late, even before I book things now I am checking hotel websites ...
And if I cant I am checking 12 months ahead.

Ibis budget - the renamed Etap - they had a big revamp a couple of years ago so its not as grim as previously but go for a double room. The showers are fabulous, the rooms are clean if tiny but its only one night and its within easy walking distance of the station and Ikea and its famous meatballs and town is close enough for shopping and breakfast.
If you register you get a members discount and a discount for early booking

And I checked Eastleigh and the airport hotels but rates for them were as bad.

It sounds like I always go to Southampton but its only twice a year if that :)
I do wish though I knew more about the geography of say Winchester better - distance between station, hotels etc.

The last time we were in Southampton - January - it was grim. Along the main street in every empty shop doorway homeless were there with belongings and bedding - must have been 20 or 30, not somewhere I would want to go at night

Thanks mhoc....I'd missed this offer but found it right at the bottom:)

What are we going to buy for £1?:)

There is less possibilities now we have no Mycoupons offers.

Walkers crisps multipacks would be the obvious choice :D

I've never seen so many homeless people in doorways, etc than I've seen in my quite frequent visits to Southampton City Centre during daytime :( As you say, it is every doorway, so desperately sad :(

I love leaving things to the last minute, notorious for it :)

I never have any time to go round S/ton, by time I get there is is too late, then when I get up, I leave the hotel at 11 then straight to the ship.

    At least you are updating.

Ive got an iphone 5 that needs the latest IOS which is 10.2.1
It comes up with a reminder about sceduling the update to start at midnight suchlike.
Except that it needs to have a good ammount of battery life and mostly my phone is put on charge orvernight so it wont update.
Then when there is enough battery it still wont update as it says the phone has to be off wi fi.
So wi fi is removed and still it wont update - with or without it just says update failed do you want to try again later?

I really need to go to a tech thread to see what the answer to it all is. Perhaps its something as simple as itunes needs an update or I need to physically hook up the phone to the main computer ...

but I know even with an idiots step by step guide this is going to be a long convulted job ...

I had the same problem, gave up in the end:o:mad:
