afternoon all
Ive been contemplating the £5 off £25 in Marks which OH
also has on his sparks app.
Firstly I was wondering if the dine in for 2 offer would be back on Tuesday and if so I wondered if there would be the lemon chicken and big lasagne and ice cream in the offer ...
Then I found a £6 meal deal in a very small cabinet, obviously a hidden secret- various vegetable sides eg red cabbage and croquettes, some very nice desserts eg peach roulade (which would easily feed 3 with a peach cooli and vanilla ice cream) new york cheese cake, cherry sponges. For mains there was things like hunters chicken, chicken provensale, beef stew and dumplings. chicken, cheese and ham and hunters chicken (yes a lot of chicken) and a big chicken pie which again would feed 3 easily.
It looked better value than the dine in for a tenner deal which only has a wine bottle as the extra item.
So four of these six pound deals plus a few bits like milk or butter etc
Or 3 six pound deals plus seven pounds of other odds and ends
And ive got credit notes so no actual money involved.
Not too bad a deal. Mostly though we are doing meals for three so I am still thinking about it ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Just been in search of Errant son who we assumed had gone out for a run whilst we were at the shops but no he has gone back to bed.
He got back from work this morning at 6.10 and had a massive bowl of cereal and left me the washing up as usual.
Whilst we were out shopping he has been up, made scrambled egg and grated cheese sandwiches with a pork pie on the side but half way through he must have got tired and left his sandwich in the fridge along with the half eaten pork pie and then gone back to bed.
Leaving me with another massive pile of washing up and a saucepan of burnt scrambled egg as he got distracted and left it to cook itself ...
I am hoping this has put him off doing a night shift but we will see ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
