Watching that Police Interceptors programme I think many towns turn into no go areas in the evening - our own small market town was on recently and it is unrecognizable on a Saturday evening as to what it is during a normal weekdays - same with Chester on a Saturday evening. We have also been in York on a weekend and it does not feel safe to be walking around.
So I dont feel I am missing out on not having much of a social life.

Where I was brought up we had a nightclub which was the best place to go dancing - very glamous and there didnt seem to be any issues then about age restrictions. I only realised recently how famous this nightclub was, my late teens were right at the end of the Northern Soul era ... born too late :)
Those were the proper night outs - mostly about dancing rather than drinking yourself into a stupour

I wouldnt want to do it now:eek: i saw them interceptor programmes with chester and that:o

mhoc you should be proud of your son working, regardless of what the job is.
    Well done him.

3 very good things - firstly he is not football obsessed, 2ndly he has no interest in computer gaming so the house is not full of x box and fifa and 3rdly although he does go out for the odd drink with mates but its only very occassionally.
Mostly he keeps himself fully occupied - this week he was in Edinburgh one day, did a temp job another day, one day was doing admin and paperwork and doing job searches and application forms and this spilt over into the next day. In between he is doing stuff in his van plus he seems to have done some minor bedroom tidying this week, plus the porch has been turned out yet again and he has tidied the shed so he can get more of his kit organised and arranged ( he has a vast ammount of kit and stuff, goodness knowss how he lived in the van with it all for 2 weeks)
In between he eats about every 2 hours, goes for runs, uses his gym machine in the garden, watches films and he is reading Lord of the Rings. He also does his own washing.
I think he gets very bored, its not exactly exciting around here, thankfully the cats keep him entertained.

A have their bases covered with the new SEL - as it says Offer rather than which offer, and only becomes 3 for 2 when they put the printed plastic cover over it, they can deny the offer when it does not kick in correctly (or where there is a wrong SEL) as you cannot show which offer it was supposed to be. I experienced this earlier instore but decided not to argue the point as she price matched £3 per box and £2 GC, so I paid £7 for 3 of the Oral B 3D White Artic (in the purple box which had an Offer SEL from the white box - it should match £4 A v £2 M per box if it pays of, but the multi was not on this one :(. Hopefully it matches M as I will then have paid 40p for 3 for this test shop ;).
