Just walked past the independent coffee shop in town and saw a couple eating my favourite victoria sandwich which they had cut in half to share. Couldn't resist and in the absence of Mr TS I felt obliged to eat the whole slice to myself. :o

I really need to lose some weight to get into the dress I bought for DDs graduation

    Beautiful day here

Picked up sick note for Sister, she has staples out on Friday :)

Booked Travelodge for 3 rooms for next March :o to extend our Burnham on Sea week :D
You can't go wrong with family rooms for £29 - searched but no more discount to be found bar QC :o

thanks for the reminder. Ive got to book a room for next March, a midweek one so I keep checking the price but its still coming up ober £50  - might have to book a room that I can cancel and hoe that somewhere along the line it gets cheaper ...

    :o:o

I've been struggling for weeks now with a pain just below my right ribs..
So when I collected the sick note today I made an appt for Monday..

It is concentrated in one spot and when I sit or stand it 'squeezes' :o
I've had hernias before so I'm thinking this is one - I can't bend down as it is agony :o
What with all that is happening I have a 3 week slot to get myself sorted :)

Is this at S/ton? If so, have you tried the Airport one, its still just a taxi ride away from the port.

Hope everyone away is having a great time, well jealous!

We have not tried staying outside of Southampton yet - a few times we have been there when the traffic has seized up altogether so we tend to stay close by so if the very worst happens we could walk just about - thankfully its never come to that.

This year we have a night booked at the newest Travelodge, its called central helpfully - according to google maps its 3 mins further to walk from the station, but google does not take into account lugging cases. If its raining its going to be the taxi and hang the expense :D
(we have always found Southampton taxi drivers to be a bit awkward, they seem to hate doing the 15 mins trips to hotels but don't mind doing 15 min trips between hotels and ports :D )
Premier Inn west quay was a silly price and I could not get on the Ibis website at the time of trying to book but then I found a Travelodge discount code which made it a no brainer.

Even if there was gridlock in central S/ton, the taxi from the airport should be able to get near, and obviously you will have hours to get there with you going down the night before. Could be worth it if you get a £29 room.
Oooo, just thought, I need one booking for Oct. Hope I can find the discount code ;)
