    Back again! :D

Your DS2 has done well there! Are his work ok with him wombling things then? I know lots of places have rules about not taking things from bins (supermarkets etc) even if it's perfectly useable, and I wouldn't want him to get into trouble for it, but I'm assuming it's the done thing for them all to salvage bits rather than letting them go to waste.

Thanks to multiple posters for the beer and cider heads up, got a few things for DH and my dad, but most of the really good stuff was gone. My dad will be happy enough with 3 4-packs of Marstons pedigree for £2.03 each and 2 12-packs of Boddingtons for £4.80 each! :D

I really should start charging a finders fee...

I was just grateful not to be ID'd as I'd given my licence to DH in case I needed it for voting. Fortunately I think the SA was more concerned for my health than worrying about my age :rotfl:

Thanks for the concern, luckily they are more than happy for the lads to womble from the recycling. Other wise the private company that sorts it all just sell it on. So its a perk of the job xx

    That's good then! :D

My dad had a similar situation, pallets of old books were going to be shredded as they hadn't sold in charity shops, including some amazing full-colour hard back books with gilt edging etc, so he liberated a few!
I find the idea of destroying books really strange, I don't even like creasing the spine or folding the corner of a page! :o
