Oh my goodness, hope Mr TM is ok. Best he is checked over to be on the safe side.

New York - Ellis Island is just mind blowing, also a walk along the High Line and a visit to the original Winnie the Pooh and his friends, who are being held hostage in the New York Public Library.

Battered fish compared v M, so all was not lost and cos has already been processed. Another 84p and I'll have enough to withdraw again :)

App, “new” users get a fwee coughee within minutes of signing up, email does not need confirmation, only a proper postcode and select an address. I keep deleting app by accident and need to start from scratch and use a “yop” email addy.
    PS don’t overdo it (wink)
I found you don't even need a proper PCode (as long as it's in a postcode format), and I don't select an address either, just click onto the next part.
Oh.. and I don't delete the app, nor yopmail..anythin will do! :D

The helicopter experience is a must, it's wonderful.
I sat in the front next to the pilot, obviously, the floor had a glass bottom!

Scares me at the thought of it now, but it was recommended by a colleague, so i just did it, it was expensive but worth every dollar.
This was a few years ago though!

Gosh yes, I remember that, DD and I got to sit up front too, it is the lightest people that sit in the front so I think us Brits have the advantage :rotfl::rotfl:

I am having problems with my Greggs app and there does not seem to be a solution. Ive missed out on various freebies eg the birthday cake, free crisps etc but when I messaged Greggs they said they could see that I'd got the rewards. I should really have sent them a screen shop of the nothing - ness I had. I thought it would correct itself after various updates but it hasn't.
Yesterday Oh wanted a Greggs breakfast and I still have £4.25 credit. You click on the yellow scan it now button but I dont have the QPR code, just a blank box and a row of numbers so the girl puts these into the till and it seemed to work.
Just looked now and my balance is exactly the same and nothing in my purchase history ...

Good morning to all regulars, posters, visitors and lurkers! :j

Have any of you all been to New York City recently? Any tips for travellers?

    Afternoon all!

If you're looking for an MSE option, I'd suggest the free Staten Island ferry, gets you THE view for free, just don't bother hanging around on the other side, once you've taken a few photos I'd get back on the boat!

DH recommended the museum at Ground Zero, very thought-provoking, and I enjoyed the boat trip to the State of Liberty and Ellis island, as well as going up the Empire State Building. We also got cheap tickets to a Broadway show, so lots and lots to do :D

TM, I hope it's not as bad as you're probably imagining, we're all here hoping Mr TM is ok and sending you our best wishes. Our men do like to worry us sometimes, don't they :o
