Have any of you all been to New York City recently? Any tips for travellers?

We went about 11 years ago, I would say that a helicopter ride round the Statue of Liberty is fantastic, and Central Park is like a little oasis of calm, but I should imagine a lot has changed in that time.

Hope you OH is OK TM, at least well enough for you to strangle him

TM, hope your OH is OK and on his way home to you soon.

Enterprise, thanks for that. Central Park and the SoL will be on our to-do list for sure.

Wish I could help zag but I've never been.

Just had the dreaded phone call. Mr TM has come off his bike and an ambulance is in attendance. I have been reassured by another rider that he is ok but it's a head injury so they are being belt and braces.
    But my stomach is churning.
There's nothing I can do until I know more. Once again the car is miles away. Yorkshire I think. I assume he is going to hospital but goodness knows where:o

It's his first team ride after his hand injury and he's gone back too soon I think. He was taking a drink and hit a pot hole:o I'm assuming he lost control of the bike:o
We might have to have serious words before he bankrupts the NHS single handedly:o

Sorry to hear about Mr TM, hope hes ok. I think you need to ebay his bike now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The helicopter experience is a must, it's wonderful.
I sat in the front next to the pilot, obviously, the floor had a glass bottom!

Scares me at the thought of it now, but it was recommended by a colleague, so i just did it, it was expensive but worth every dollar.
This was a few years ago though!

bumping up for anyone playing catch up.

The Sada receipt on my desk gave me an APG over £3 :j so I got the tea, bread and 3 crisps this morning - making sure I got them from the back so the codes were good :D

I got one voucher out of three - very happy with that :)
pics of front and back of 6 packs 3 for £1 Sada.

Cash prizes are in the packets of crisps, not won any and eaten 20+ bags.

Free 6 pack is entered online at
    https://paypacket.walkers.co.uk/
winners you print off a MOC with the usual individual barcodes also on it.

5 entries allowed per day (per email account ;) )

one in 3 chance of winning, my personal experience is about 1 in 2 .

Now...... Codes for entry...... They are on the back of the pack, look at the barcode, then the other white box above with the Best Before date, also printed there is the code for entry. YUP on the outside ... :A ....

Redemption has been difficult initially, was at the start and no one seemed aware even though I pointed out it was on the bags I was redeeming. I think it should now be easier as more are passed to Checkout Ops.

Buy the crisps first in a non compare shop, so no need for minimum 10 items. place the bags FIRST in your shop, so when op checks for price it is easy and first in list, they will see the £1.65 hopefully and take off 3 x £1.65 = £4.95 deduction on £3 spend = paid £1.95 towards other non compare items :T:T

Hope this is enough info, get back to me by PM if it doesn't, as I don't read back on the thread too much
