Also Whiskas is back in Farm Foods, 3 giant boxes of 40 100g sachets for £20 (or £7.99 each) -
Plus there are the conditional spend vouchers

Have to do some under the stair cupboard rearranging to see if I can get 3 or 6 in :)

Not sure about the paint mhoc, but how are the pine doors finished? If they are waxed they would probably take more rubbing down than varnished ones, and with pine I would think they would be waxed.

I think your first step should be to find out how to best remove the current finish.

Oh, and I varnished my kitchen cupboard doors in the garden, ended up with one or two bits stuck in the varnish

Please can I ask has anyone ever used kitchen cupboard paint?

Ive just been looking at pics of someones standard 1980s pine doors kitchen which they have done with this paint and it looked very neat.
They said it had only cost them £20 - well I've just had a count and there are 12 big doors and 12 drawer fronts plus plinths so it would be a much bigger job for us to do 2 coats.

Ive looked on the Wilko website and it seems to be satin finish. Is this OK for kitchen use for washing down?

Also do you need to use primer and what sort of brushes or are small rollers better for the middle sections?

Our kitchen is so ancient now but the door fronts are solid pine, looking very much the worst for wear now. If we replaced the entire kitchen it would have to be the same layout as its a galley kitchen so no room for revamping. Whatever we spent would not make any difference to the selling price of the house. Plus whoever comes along next the first thing they would do would be kitchen removal :D

(Yes, I am finding my own distraction technique and yes it would depend on a week of good weather for painting outside in the garden :)
We used a ronseal one then put a coat of varnish over it, but needed more than double it said

I'm going to watch this answer regarding kitchen cupboard paint....
The property we are in the midst of buying has an old pine kitchen in it which at the moment we can't afford to rip out...budget just wont stretch that far and the priority needs to go to bathroom, electrics and GCH(Although it has concrete floors which is a pain an in an effort to minimise pipework we are also considering electric radiators....I saw some that look like gas rads and was quite impressed with them and their output)...but again if anyone has any experience of these please..I'm all ear's to hear.........

So for the meantime it just needs a minimal spruce...I have plenty of time to put on lots of coats of paint, sand and give it tlc via a good clean up etc...just limited funds with which to do it....

Is it just me or have the prices on the mini chedders / crinkleys gone up to £1.79 at T, not the £1 we need for them to compare to?
