I had a spot of bother yesterday with the 2 deals - but it went very much in my favour ! I picked up 4 reds in the 2 for £9 deal plus 2 Pino Grigio - which I thought were both the same and in the 2 for £9 deal. Unfortunately some of the stock must have been mixed up and I accidentally had 1 that was in the deal and a different 1 that was mixed up. All 6 bottles should have been £5.50 but 1 was only £4.50 and instead of getting £6 off for the 2 for £9 deals I only got £4 off. I realised what had happened so went to CS with a new bottle of the correct wine to get it swapped over.
I explained that because of the 2 deals in operation she would need to void the whole transaction and start again. I said that I had paid £19.85 in total and suggested that she void the lot, give me £20 and offered her my 15p change so that she could start again. She faffed about a bit and said she would have to do it her way or she would get muddled - it all seemed very straightforward to me but she said she had to keep her till right and my suggestion would't work. She then voided the lot , took a handful of money out of the till and put on one side . She then scanned the correct 6 bottles and produced a receipt which showed a total of £33 less £6 (2 for £9) less £8.25 (25%) giving a total final cost of£18.75 - and then a cash tendered line showing £31.80 followed by change due £13.05 !
I THINK the £31.80 must have been the amount she took from her till but I couldn't see as it was out of my line of sigh and I don't understand why she did it. She thrust £13.05 towards me and put the rest back in her till. By this time I was totally confused and I told her that couldn't possibly be right and asked her to check again. She was a bit affronted that I was questioning her maths, insisted that it was right and read out all the details on the receipt saying I had got both the 25% and 2 for £9 discounts and showing me where they showed up. I said I could see that but the totals looked completely wrong and that I thought it was too much. She still claimed I was wrong , gave me the money and called for the next customer. I stood to one side looking very puzzled , examining my receipt for about 5 minutes but she clearly wanted nothing more to do with me and had me pegged as a difficult customer. I haven't a clue how she arrived at her result but I am quite certain that I only paid £19.85 for my original 6 bottles and I left CS with a slightly more expensive 6 bottles - plus £13.05 so the wine cost me £6.80 ! Crazy - but I did try to tell her but she wouldn't listen.
Some staff cannot be told even when you are trying to be honest and help - I give them a couple of chances but if they are adamant then just accept their answer (if it is in my favour, obviously, if it is in their favour then I will carry on correcting them).

On the app it is top left under Instore>Groceries (it seems they have a few offers -is this a sign they are moving away from Shopitize again? If yes, fingers crossed they return to CoS).
