    No confrontation required.

Just agree with the instore nonsense and contact CS via email/online. Job done (in my experience)

I did get verbally abused whilst getting the knives a few years back but that was a biggie and i did get it without much input, just that the duty manager was raging. She didn't argue the DTD though just wasn't happy i bought the only 3 knives that were not correctly priced.

Try it with a TV which I did a few years ago ... it was not my fault they had put a printed A4 poster on the box and a yellow label reduction but not covered the barcode ;). Oh I did act surprised as I overpaid by £100 ... (well, once I had gone past the checkout, obvs :D). A little nudge when they did the refund, helped by the blue poster behind them.

Nice £279 42" TV for £79 in the end .

I have kept a low profile in that store since :).

We are considering a large purchase from homebase soon...does anyone know now that they have been taken over by the Australian company if there are any good deals on vouchers or discount codes now issued.
I hope I'm not infringing the rules by asking....I am asking of their existence rather than specifically asking for a code/voucher....hope you understand redfox if you are reading....

We wouldnt normally go to homebase its just they have the shower enclosure that we want...everything else can come from more builder outlets but I can't source the shower enclosure anywhere else.

Iknow you used to be able to use i think love 2 shop vouchers at homebase ...but that agreement has now ended.

There is a men's coat down from £79 to £6.99 it's a small so no good to Mr TS. I tried it on but I don't have as long arms as a man. :rotfl:

Have cleared them of loads of bras £1.49 to £1.99 some should have been £28  what doesn't fit me or my girls will go to charity shop as they are non returnable but will still work out very cheap. Also got couple Xxl brushed cotton shirts £3.49 for mr TS they should have been £39 odd, he is not that big but excellent for an extra layer over his gardening clothes. :T

it sounds a lot when you say it in one go...but £320 a tooth might not seem so bad...

still worthy of an ouch moment though.

I agree, its not quite as much as I was expecting. What niggles a little bit is that, although all the impressions etc are done in one, you don't get even a small reduction on succession teeth. He also is harping on about veneers on my lower teeth.

Its only April and my year is looking expensive - new car to tide my Son/DIL over until they see if their appeal re the withdrawal of their Motobility car is successful, the hole in the conservatory roof and now teeth !

At least I'm OK with todays cheap coffee and cheap toothpaste.

My neighbour has just given me loads of brand new bras for the charity shop. (She buys them in pairs and only uses the flesh coloured ones?!) I rang our local women's aid and they said they would be delighted to have them. I've given them sundry toiletries from my stash too -- I am in a clearing out mood!

But that didn't stop me from getting birdies. Good raffle prizes, methinks.
