Question about working taxcredit. My Mum has a pretty useless cleaner but Mum refuses to let us get rid of her. Anyway as sis is home getting better she gets funding to pay a cleaner. So we already pay this lady £10.00 per hour for 4 hours a week ( into her bank account) and sis has taken over paying this and given her an ectra hour a week whilst shes home. But she needs an invoice for her insurers and asked the cleaner to provide one. Firstly she said she couldnt as she would have to declare it ( it goes into her bank account so surely she declares it. ) She is self employed and told my sister she gets £50.00 per week working tax credit and couldnt manage without it. But then she said she works 30 hour a week and most of her clients pay her £12.50 per hour. Even if 20 of those hours were at £12.50 per hour and the rest at £10.00 per hour then that £323.00 per week gross. So how is he getting £50.00 working tax credit!0

Snap, so sorry to hear about your sister's news. Also saw Mhoc's sister is expecting some results too, fingers crossed for that. I'm glad the wedding went well, sorry errant son is causing you stress.
Bubbs, have I picked up right that you have diabetes? That must have been a shock. Hope you are getting your head around things.
Di, congrats on the birth of your granddaughter, she is beautiful.
Sarah, sorry Mother's Day was forgotten about in your household, thats rubbish.
LEJC, sending you a hug.
Rose, glad your insurers are generally being co-operative. I missed what caused your house to flood?
MKS, thinking of you and your Dad.
I'm pretty sure I've missed a ton of other stuff, so help yourself to a hug if you need one!
Just thought I could help out with the Ikea thing, surprised more haven't taken advantage? I went the other night with boyfriend. We had 3 course meal, 2 of the mini bottles of wine to take away, bags of mini daim bars to take away etc. Was no problem at all, money taken straight off the bill instore. I intend on returning and getting some stuff ready for DD going to uni in September and having some more free food! :rotfl:
Life is going at a rate of knots here. Boyfriend has secured a job down here, his house sold this week for the 4th time (the first 3 fell through, so hoping it really does sell this time!), his cats moved in with me on Sunday, and he half moves in on Saturday (has a van to bring the stuff that isn't going in to storage), but will be here properly when he finishes his job in Manchester on 12th April. Everything going very well, so happy, life is brilliant.
Still having issues after my surgery, so am not back at work. Consultant is at end of April, have been trying to get cancellation appointments but no luck so far. Hoping she has a plan, I suspect it will involve more surgery though, as I can't stay as I am. Its a right pain in the backside, and not what I was expecting after relatively minor surgery. Even that isn't enough to dampen my spirits though, life is just too exciting right now!
APG etc has gone right out the window though, I do really need to try and get back in to the habit.
Anyway, thought I'd come and say hi after my catch up. I know I'm not very regular on here these days but I do think of you all often.
Absolutely love the mention twice of boyfriend. Sounds permanent. :T:T:T:Txx0 -
Yes they can, I used one not long ago that was a Christmas gift.
I don't think anyone believed me, or must have me on ignore.
I'm to blame I think :rotfl: I've been dipping in trying to catch up and being too tired to fully concentrate.
I could never have you on ignore:smileyhea:rotfl:
