I went and did a Morrisons shop this afternoon as I noticed an item that would give me a worthwhile APG:

    1x McVitie's Variety Packs (750g) £2.29 £1.00
0.03x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Carrot (order by number of carrots or select kg) (per kg) £0.02 £0.01:rotfl:

It was the biscuits rather than the piece of carrot:rotfl:.

I think with the 200g/300g (mainly own label) biscuits in M having gone up to 2 for 80p, these triple pack McVitie's work out quite well as it's about 33p each (2 for 67p, although you don't quite get it that way). I think this is now urgent as the M offer is due to be on until tomorrow. It could be extended but I suspect not as it doesn't seem they want them to be £1 for very long - it looks like a one-week offer although I note it was also at £1 on 5th February according to msm. So it's for people that want to go out that have more money than sense:rotfl:. I don't think I would want to be trying them tomorrow, under potentially today's price collection, for some reason. I don't know why - I just felt it stood it's best chance today.

This was a product I missed as well and didn't see in my small number of Ms on Friday (that would not definitely say they were £1 on Wednesday collection day) but, to be fair, I wasn't doing a proper check. I saw it on msm yesterday (typically after shops had shut for the day:() and, due to the confirmation on the APG, I've now added it to my list although I suspect it will not be on for long.

    McVitie's Value Pack - Digestives, Hobnobs & Rich Tea (3 per pack - 750g)

After I saw it yesterday, I realised that, as two packs were Digestives and Rich Tea Biscuits, these should be bought as SP or value range biscuits in Aldi/Lidl, or on whoopsies, for somewhat cheaper. So it's actually overpaying a little but the Hobnobs, as an individual 300g pack in M, went down to 50p at one point so that's the guide for those although the M price, as part of the three pack, is about 33p (a little less than 30p net. via the APG) - so, two packs probably overpaid for but one pack underpaid - I don't like it when I'm having to offset things like this though: I'd rather have everything underpaid:rotfl::rotfl:. It's a bit like the potatoes in Aldi going down but the milk price increasing:( so, in effect, if you need both, you may as well not have got all of the potatoes price reduction (which doesn't take them down to what they were months before in any event) and as if the milk had remained the same.

Really the Rich Tea should be about 21p (old price, they have been cheaper before though - remember when A's SP were very cheap several years ago?) although prices of about 24p for 250g seem to be the going rate these days and the Digestives should be about 31p for 400g:eek:. I thought the McVitie's packets were each going to be 250g. However, in fact the Rich Tea are 200g and the Hobnobs 300g - however I am happier that I am getting less of the low value rich tea and more of the valuable hobnobs. So - 19.375p for Digestives but I got them for about 30p:eek: (in fact I got one whoopsied packet of Digestives at 5p in M last year so have well paid over:() - a 10.625p (or 25p:eek:) overpayment for those, 19.2p for Rich Tea (based on 24p price) but a further 10.8 overpaid! 21.425p overpayment! This is not working out very well:rotfl:. Then the Hobnobs should be 45p (10% cheaper than when M was 50p) but I've paid 30p - a 15p 'underpayment' but, in total, I've paid more than six pence too much!!:eek::rotfl: However, it's not too far out (I pretend) and there is no 50p offer on straight 300g Hobnobs at the moment. I lost even more as I should have taken the Digestives as needing to be 3.1p cheaper when bought at a time when A still had SP version and when T Eday was the same price. That not now available for some time though. It's not too bad though given that yu could have had two 200g packets vs M previous offer of 2 for 70p (vs 35p each) but that pricing has gone up and the McVitie's pack is better per packet than that.

I think I need that carrot to be 2p as, if I get one of 3p or more, the price at M rounds to more expensive than A!:rotfl: The carrot also works vs W (and vs T and vs S but people seem to be doing W shops for some reason - many people seem to be doing CC shops of high value to get a lot back and the carrot is not as useful there for bumping up the bill - it's more useful for getting up to the 8 items minimum instore).

The biscuits look like one of the items that are expiring in M after tomorrow and the other main items about to expire then will be the "cleaning event" items, which may either go down even further onto RTC prices after the "event" is over or may go back up to full price - I think the Plenty Big One kitchen roll might be due to go to £2.41 - I saw one store with that on Friday:rotfl: but another still showed them in the "event" aisle at £1, which I assume they still were (got nothing to say they have actually gone up, except the £2.41 SEL in the other store's main aisle which I think to be less likely to be the actual price, and the event was due to be on until 7th March). That may just be that the store with £2.41 had not changed the SEL in the aisle as these items were brought out to the front of the store there, with a £1 offer card showing previously although stock located there and the card now gone (no good having the offer card before in any event - we need aisle SELs to say the offer price for the APG to work - but if it's stores generally are showing that, then it will work, if they take the prices that they should). Or else, occasionally, stores have move arounds of aisles and put stock from aisles into different places than before - they print out the SELs for the aisle, in M, and I think the SELs initially all say full price. I've had one new section appear in one of my stores - at last they have items I was having to pick up elsewhere! - but the SELs in that section had full price SELs and not the offer SELs even though the offers are still on. So, initially, if you get stores like that, you'll find whole sections (that are new to store or have been switched around) will be showing full prices and not got the offers up.

Anyway, the biscuits work (thankfully my biscuits pack is 90p and not £2.29 - actually it is still £2.29: I just get the voucher off some future, also probably overpaid, shop if I use it:() and I expect the 'cleaning' items that are part of M's 'event' may also be treated as becoming "urgent" now as their prices in M are probably about to end (although I'm sure many of them will come back at some point in the future).

And of course I make no distinction between McVitie's and the value range biscuits:rotfl:.

I was going to say Pukka Pies Chicken & Gravy (550g) should be against M - but they have put the price of that up too it seems:(. So, I'm off to delete that from the list (it will give me less to do on Wednesday. In theory:rotfl: - watch them put it back on:mad::mad::rotfl::(). Is A's Fruit & Fibre 625g at £1.20 (that seems a 'good' price compared to regular priced stock elsewhere) an item for N/A against W? I think it well could be! People will have that losing out against M. SP apples 500g at 50p (make sure you don't end up with the packets with just four apples in:() should be good against W, but I go off buying those on an APG shop as I got caught out recently and had a pack (maybe there are different BCs about?) fail to appear so did not count. I have seen them on comps. though.

EDIT: £1.88 for Fruit & Fibre on msm for W... relates to W's 750g so it is outside of weight and should not compare. Paying £1.20 vs N/A (I hope!) in A is more than 10% cheaper:D including than even Aldi/Lidl at the moment it seems.

EDIT 2: :(:(Fruit & Fibre been £1.15 in A in April/May 2016 according to msm so it has been a little cheaper in the past although it doesn't seem too bad given the prices elsewhere at the moment.
