Depends. Newborns get an incredible amount of stuff, so the mum-to-be might appreciate someone taking the longer view, gift-wise.

Or could you swap some, perhaps in threes, so there's 3 lots of different sizes?

That could work, perhaps I could swap 3 packs for size 2s and 3 for size 3s, and keep 3 as they are. Doesn't help that I don't know how old a child would be to fit into size 4+ or whether there's a chance they'll be starting potty training by then. It's all foreign to me! I was just appalled by the 'normal' price of them, even Aldi's (which I've heard good things about) seem expensive! Clearly if I ever have kids they will be mini Elites in the making :rotfl:

Thank you I'll be going near an As tomorrow so I'll nip in and have a look.

Noooooo AJ I can't wait any longer. We were shopping yesterday and as we got to the till she gasped holding her stomach I thought she was in Labour I took her and her shopping home and she said she kept getting them. Nothing came of it unfortunately but her bf was going out with his brother in law and friends to wet their babies head, born last week, and I do wonder if it was her way of curbing how much he drank...... who knows....... I do know I can't wait much longer :rotfl: I'm sorry for putting the mad face it was meant to be a happy one

Braxton Hicks probably, just getting ready :D. Such an anxious wait now, bet you're on tenterhooks xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Am I right in thinking if you pay tax the amount paid to you is reduced and is it still worth while, if you only pay a small amount of tax ?
I have looked but can't get my fuddled brain round it.

Morning Sue....I'm reading this thread that juju mentioned

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5580163

to try and understand more. I've also downloaded a couple of guides from providers and will set some time aside next week to make sense of it.

Sort of. You don't pay tax on money you put into your pension, so it should reduce your tax bill. Be careful if you only pay a small amount of tax and your pension contribution would reduce your tax bill to zero BUT you have also gift aided charity donations - the tax people will charge you the tax that they have rebated to the charity.

Morning all! Hope you're all well. I'm feeling less pants than yesterday and Friday, more like a cold and less like tonsillitis or flu, thank god!

Just looked at the Ts and Cs for the Dulux promotion, I could be reading it wrong but I think if the paint was bought in 2017 and you still have the receipt, you could still claim a free tin https://www.dulux.co.uk/en/terms-and-conditions

    :

Morning Arthien...I think the promotion runs from Jan 1st:)

I missed this last year but will definitely take advantage of it this year as we have most of the house to do:o Unfortunately everywhere is the same colour so wondering how the purchase of a "different " colour will be policed:think::think:

  • It took me a couple of cycles to realise that the sickness didn't only kick in after a couple of days but when the ondansetrone ran out  definitely worth asking for also check they give you the same strength. I then got 4mg but doubled up and got another prescription from the out of hours gp. I actually cried when the doctor on the phone said he would send the prescription to the chemist for me

    Awh! Poor you :(

I had my Chemotherapy on a Thursday, and lol and behold my nausea came with a vengeance on the Sunday night ( last Sunday) :o
I had the Ondansetron Friday and Saturday only. Coincidence? I think not.
They just told me to double my dose of Domperidone - which was useless.

And I had a 15% reduction in my chemotherapy dose as I ended up in hospital with Neutropenic Sepsis after first round

    Good morning everyone.
It's wet and miserable here, I'm gonna spend the day making different soups for the freezer then cuddle up on sofa to watch a new DVD, The Legend of Barney Thomson, anyone seen it?
