We need a new boiler (worcester bosch) and I wondered if any of the elite have any tips?
We are getting a few quotes from independent authorized engineers and one from British Gas who we think are usually expensive.

Any pitfalls would should be aware of before they come round next week with all their sales technique! Thank you in advance.

If you have a water softener be careful, I have heard the salt can damage the heat exchangers, something like that. Might be worth asking the question if you do have one.

Unfortunately, we don't have a water softener. Wished we did as we live in a hard water area and the limescale ruins all the taps and kettle
Especially when you leave cillit bang on your new bathroom taps and forget about it!

Are they best buy this year?
I only ask because I have always rated them, but last year I needed a new boiler, and after some research I went for a Baxi Platinum as it came with a 10 year guarantee.

Thanks for that. I will have a look at this tomorrow as this sounds interesting. It was the best buy for the last year.

Sorry dont know. Im just a sheeple and will follow posts about this.
All I know so far is that I keep the £2880 in for a year but can draw out the tax relief £720 when it is added to the account.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about this will come along and advise and/or put me right if my info is wrong
Do you have to wait until the tax relief is added? I put £2880 in and the tax relief should appear in May but I'm wanting to take some out in this financial year, once I know what my annual earnings are likely to be.
