Hello, I would like to hear some tips about travelling please.

I'm travelling to Japan around end of March with my OH and two kids and staying there for nearly 2 months. I'm considering using airport lounges since travelling with two young kids to Japan is trully gruelling! There's a transit at Seoul so I would like to grab some rest there.

I remember some of you got a Amex card quite a while back and it came with two lounge passes? I searched the thread but could not find all the info I needed so plucked up the courage to post here.:o

I see several kinds of Amex card I could go for... which one is recommended please?

I rarely fly (last time was 5 years ago!) so general tips for using airport/ travelling are welcome too. Thank you in advance.:)

Sorry HZA, I don't know the answer but I'm sure someone (or indeed many) who do will be along shortly.

I got the Gold card HZA and you get free lounge passes. You need to spend £2000 in the first 3 months and you then qualify for 20,000 points.

    Thanks Di,
I am grating a bit of fresh ginger into my green teas.

I love ginger - in all its guises. In biscuits, cakes, marmalade, jam, sucking on a crystallised bit, oh and dark chocolate covered ginger :)

Me too I'd forgotten about crystalised ginger i had a jar full in the cupboard it didnt last long. Are they giving you ondansatron?

It is the amex gold card that you need, it is not a credit card as the full amount has to be paid off every month, but you get the 2 lounge passes for free and also get Avios points, and bonuses of these (the bonus is slightly higher if you get someone to refer you) x

bumping this up, thank you OP.

I think we had issues searching for it because automatically we were looking for yahoo instead of yazoo :o

I am having no success with printing off. I tried yopmail and it just comes up with a strange message so I don't know what I am doing wrong.
    An error occured (Status: 403)
    Invalid URL.

So I went back to normal email and it recognized my main one, accepted my spare email, went through all of the processes and then told me I'd already printed off :(

you need to take the last 7 characters off the url xxx
We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.
