    On the virgin red app

    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/virgin-red/id1004492356?mt=8

there is something this morning about buy one hot drink at Neros and get another one free, tea must be the cheapest drink???

I've just gone to check the details and its gone off my app  - perhaps it was a yesterdays offer - I only look at it in the morning :(

This app has various methods of collecting points eg daily quizzes, sharing things via social media and you get extra points for using Virgin products eg train tickets, Virgin media and Virgin money - the more points you collect the more prize draws you can enter. Each month on the 1st your points zero and you start again

Still on my app. Be careful as when you get the nero code it is only valid for one hour. valid for a whole list of coffees & tea.

Regarding the train points, I haven't had two lots from traveling on xmas eve and new year. I contacted N and got this:
chat_agent.png Nectar: Were you supposed to get 1000 bonus points?
    chat_enduser_message.png Fuzz: Yes.
chat_agent.png Nectar: Ok, these points were supposed to be added last week and there was a technical issue with our system and the points did not get added.
chat_agent.png Nectar: Rest assured these points will be there on your account by the end of this week. Our technical team are working on this issue.
chat_enduser_message.png Fuzz: Ok, so when will they both arrive please?
chat_agent.png Nectar: Yes it will be there on your account by the end of this week.

Have been and spoken to lovely people at my local foodbank and donated a few items.
Checked with them about Tesco. Selected tesco's take donations normally behind the tills, they then deliver to the foodbank in the crates you see them use in Home Deliveries, they then weight them together, deducting the weight of the crates. !!!!!! does not top up in food, but in actual money donation to the local foodbank! Money to make the place more appropriate, pay fuel for van, help fund van etc.

This is direct from !!!!!! website:

The total weight of the box and total value of all the items inside are then used to reach the £1.68/kg valuation used. On the day of the collections, stores with Trussell Trust food banks will weigh all the food collected, calculate a total value (at £1.68/kg), of which 20% will be given by Tesco to the Trussell Trust
Reading that, I take it that they donate 20% of £1.68 a kilo, so approx. 33p a kilo.
I went straight to !!!!!! and 7 x 17p bottles pop fell into my shopping and ended up in foodbank collection
    Trussell.jpg

They all fell in by themselves. BH paid £1.17 for 7 bottles which go to foodbank anyway and !!!!!! donate £0.33 x 14kg = £4.62 :T

    So benefits are:
As well as goods you donate, !!!!!! give them cash
Pop costs 17p each, weight 2kg so donation from !!!!!! of 66p
seperate you shop up into small ones and you have receipts for Shop--priz
Your self esteem will shoot up :)
So fillers at Sada for sharpies can be bottles of pop too, to take to !!!!!!, that and heavy cheap stuff.

Please don't let Martin advertise this as it will probably ruin it for the foodbanks.

PS As always do not hesitate in finding anything I am missing or have wrong. I must have made a boo boo somewhere, it sounds too good to be true.

    Tenth Anniversary
Good morning, been ages since I have said that😋, just been reading back and as far as being vegetarian or vegan I would never presume to tell anybody they were right or wrong, it's all personal choice, we were vegetarian for many years and I know many that still are and even some who will buy venison that is shot in the wild by a licensed gun , as these animals must be controlled for their own survival, the area cannot feed the numbers if they get out of control and they starve to death slowly, I also think it is a crime to kill an animal and not eat it and killing anything for sport is abhorrent, as I said a personnel choice and opinion. Go back to lurking now:)
