Is anyone else watching Shop Well For Less? A family of 6 with £12000.00 pairs of designers shoes!! The wife keeps the heating at 30 degrees!! They did a test on different washing powders and she used Fairy at 37p per wash. She obviously doesn't shop at W with my picks!!
Unbelievable how much money people waste!!
The wife also takes a shower for 45 minutes

I am so proud of my daughter as she had to donate 2 days running for 4 hours at a time. Seems she just needed an extra injection as smashed her target today.
To think if it takes she could cure someone's blood cancer is truly humbling. Learnt so much about the processes, ethics and huge costs. The matching is not done on dna alone, a sibling has a 1 in 4 chance of being a match a parent a 50% chance. The nurse was telling us that the person whom she was matched with shares her ancestry. Might be in the dim and distant past but they are related.
I watched that programme a few weeks ago where thousands of people were profiled and 11 were invited into a studio where they were individually told their genetic ancestry. Then they were told that all 11 of them had a common denominator and all 11 had shared ancestry.

Unlike Anthony Nolan who only accept onto the register until you are 30, DKMS have a much wider age criteria. They are crying out for all donors and Germany is way ahead of us on percentage of population. Mixed race matches are the hardest to find.
No one takes priority this is something money can not buy.

The cost of performing a stem cell transplant is more than my house and car put together and I live in the south and drive a nice car.

To go on the register is a simple mouth swab and they are curing cancer so please if you are fit and healthy get In touch with them for a kit. If you stayed on the register for 10 years there is still only a 4% chance of you being a match. Registers are shared worldwide so you only need to register once.

Ok off my soap box now but please give this a thought.

    V x

    This is wonderful VT:T:T

If your post encourages just one person to donate then it's been so worthwhile.

    Chapeau to VT DD:T:T
