ETA : booked mine on 20th.
I'm just wondering is it meant to be 28 days after the actual transaction or 28 days after the end of the offer?
It will be 28 days after the end of the offer - or that at least was the excuse I was fobbed off with on other offers.
So for instance if a new offer appears today on nectar.com eg buy x catfood and get 60 points. I buy it today but the offer runs for a month. The points are then added on 28 days after - ie 56 days in total
You can see why I don't get over excited about nectars pitiful offers now ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Are we going to see your hat and outfit, mhoc?
If I can remember how to upload photos from photobucket I will see if I can do it tomorrow - the dress, jacket and shoes anyway - of course they all have a story ....
The hat is still in the shop and it may stay there as well. Eldest child is very keen on me having a fascinatorand I know I am supposed to wear it around the house to get used to the idea.
There is one charity shop in town which specialises in wedding gear so I am hoping that it will be in there
Eldest childs future m-I-l has got a massive red creation - I think she is using the distraction technique - everyone focuses on your head and not the rest of you
Eldest child is very keen that we look good in photos as she does not want us ruining them
The parents will be the only oldies, the other 76 will all be under 35s so I doubt if anyone will take the blindest bit of notice of us so I am going to blend into the background :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I didn't get the 1000 Virgin Nectar points added yet, even though it's now 28 days since the transaction - did anybody get them?
Mine haven't arrived yet either - and Viking have given me 60 (not the 3000 that I was expecting ... I wonder if they decided I can't have them as I had a bonus years ago ).

Oh my dear, you have my sympathy! My OH was best man for a young friend a few years ago, any suggestions I made were met with a similar response:eek:
Poor love though, the wedding was in NI and I'm not sure if it is their practice, but the vicar 'spoke' before the best man. That vicar had most of OH's 'quips' and I could see him furiously crossing things out!!
The best bit was that they did all of the speeches before the meal so that everyone could enjoy.
The worst bit was a gatecrasher, who was picking up cigs and lighters and 'bumming' drinks. OH, in his position of responsibility, quite rightly checked with the sister of the bride that this wasn't some friend or relative before the rest of the 'Geordie Boys' took him outside and sent him on his way:eek: (No blows were exchanged, but the threat was there!)
Oh dear me, I have to ask eldest child now where about in the proceedings OHs speech will be.
I am worried that OH who has very little grasp of political correctness will do a speech along the lines of Les Dawson and will see how many of the guests he can insult - Londonders, Americans, mothers in law, anyone Nouveua riche, anyone rotund of shape, anyone with a Leeds accent .... :rotfl:
at least we don't over do speeches like the Swedes do

Thank you.
I got my hat from Oxfam (in fairness it was new with the tags on) and to this day DD still does not know.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
