    Evening

Belated thanks to izzeyb and Chris v for the possible glitches. I am at home with a cold. NSD for me

Still hoping to get away on Friday though

Thanks to mhoc for a reminder about the Merlot on the other sites. I just claimed.

Sun holiday question Do the £9.50 holidays cover the summer months. I wanted to collect when they came out but ds did not want to go. Now booked Cala gran for July. I will get to spent quality time with GC so I will not complain but will be more :money:if possible next year.

    Whoopsies tonight.

Got my 50p back on the sausages:D

It was the last reductions on the beef and I haven't any joints left in the freezer. Paid for with a womble.

    All valentines flowers half price

There were loads and loads of Finest duck breasts, tarts and stuffed black puddings.
Every time the SA did a reduction on each type she shouted out how much was being written off. "We are losing £167 on the duck" she declared:rotfl:

Well done TM on your whoopsies. I got lucky tonight 2 x quorn sausages 10p each and lots of other 'dinner' things for that price too! There were 20 black puddings (also 10p) on the counter. The sa said they were a special for valentines. Our last whoopsies are now really late so it is an effort to turn out in the winter but really worth it as there are not so many people about as there are on a sunday in our local. Our sa also discusses how much they have lost on certain items which I find quite interesting!

Well done HG and Sweetnsavy on doing your pension. I have a few other things to add but am too tired tonight and haven't checked the rest of MSE yet which I like to do before I got to bed - sad I know!

Well done to your DS on the theory test pass Sarah....how are you feeling about him taking lessons...?
I remember pacing round for the whole 2 hours that DS was out on his first one convinced that it wouldn't go well only for him to come back and say he'd had a blast with the instructor!

it's one of those turning points in kids lives where suddenly you realise that they are finally spreading their wings....and all you can do is watch

He really enjoyed his lesson, the instructor was impressed with him, took him further than many 1st timers. He has had a few lessons with us on the beach.

I was still panicking though when he went out on the road.
