Last year I was given 2 lovely patio roses in pots for my 50th birthday. They have flourished on the decking. Not something I would buy myself as always money to be sent on other things. I really appreciated the gift.
Think aunts first idea was a bird table but living where I do it would have been taken over by !!!! hawks. I make a real effort to look after these roses and send photos to the giver when we get a few flowers. The other lovely gift I got was an orchid a lovely one with big flowers and I try to take great care of that 2.

Not rose bushes as the house isn't theirs presumably and they will move! I've a lovely Bramley apple tree in a pot -- but more than £20!
