I had one of those and used to plug it into my first computer to dave programmes!

The computer used the TV as a screen and the tape recorder as a disk drive. Made a screeching noise as it loaded programmes, written in primitive languages like BASIC.

Doubt my A level in computing would be much use now. As my kids say, "you mean there was a time when the web didn't exist? How is that even possible?"
I never had a computer till 2001, never been on one before then, also i had a white portable tv for my 18th, for my bedroom, think it was Pye?

    Morning all.

Just thought I'd put this up in case it was useful for those planning on going abroad - Post Office credit card has £30 cashback on quidco, and there are no charges for purchases overseas. Love money for nothing, and it will come in handy for my cruise later in the year. :)

Oh, I had one of these for Christmas. I remember recording my brother speaking and when I played it back the cat reared up in a shocked manner, stared at it in disbelief and then went over and patted it gently a few times before backing away. After that she didn't respond but it was so funny.

    Had great fun with it:T:T
