  • Oh well, that was nice. Just been to Shoes again on way home.

Nice SA had a bit of a queue, so I went to look at other till but Unsmiling SA was there, so I went back to Mr. Nice Guy.

He kindly did two consecutive transactions separately for me. And the second time he gave me back the 200 points coupon I'd cut out. So I asked didn't he want to put it in the till and he said no, as he understood it, you could actually use these again. :D

From a starting balance of 178 points, I now have a total of 1521 points and have used up a £10 giftcard and 50p cash. And have 5 shampoo, 5 matching cond., 2 hairspray and a pack of emery boards as well. :D

Got an extra 75 pts on the spray from something I'd loaded to card under my Advantage offers.

    It's a £1.35 refund not a 100% refund...so they are better than free from A, S and M

Couldn't see any in Asda and couldn't be bothered travelling to S & M so got them in Tesco where I was parked. Happy with that :)

    OOh you hussy!

In my first year at senior school we had to kneel down so the form mistress could check that our skirts touched the floor!!
In the 3rd year we had crimpalene (sp?) summer dresses and corduroy berets in stead of straw hats... we thought we were the bee's knees!

I forgot to say, I know a few golf clubs where this is still done too. I've had the tape measure treatment on the first tee at two local clubs - only allowed two inches above the knee otherwise not allowed on their course. I've known several occasions when ladies have had to put their waterproof trousers on over their shorts to be allowed to play, on a red hot day

I'm a Wednesday's Child, full of woe, but always wanted to be a Tuesday's Child, full of grace, as I am so clumsy :o

Anyway, off to vets soon for Berry Bear's booster jab and check up, plus prescription for his dementia meds which I order online

My mates Steve, Andy and Kit are on their way from Hampshire right now to see me :j They will stay at our friends near Cambridge tonight and come to mine tomorrow. Kit is going to declutter my kitchen and give it a thorough clean bless her, and Steve and Andy are going to get an armchair out of house as they are bringing up a new armchair for me, higher, more comfortable for my back/knees, and then help me declutter my bedroom. Then I am taking them for a meal locally to thank them for their help. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends :grouphug:
