afternoon all - it seemed to have rained non stop for 2 days, bucket load of water
We are back after a couple of days in York. We went with eldest child to the dressmaker to sort out the alterations needed to the dress and we took up all of the wedding day odds and sods we seemed to have collected (including a list of things we had to collect from Ikea on the way up)
We also had her birthday presents as we had only just back on the 22nd so we hadn't seen her since.
Then on Saturday we did the shops, virtually every single shop in York and the designer outlet so OH now has a new suit and I have a dress - OH still needs a new shirt and I need a jacket (I have one coming from ebay so fingers crossed)
In Monsoon we found gorgeous knee high boots reduced from £99 to £29 so we got these for eldest child and then she spotted suede ones also down to £29 but with a slight mark so she took another £4 off these so we also paid for these.
We stayed at Premier Inn on the outskirts of York which I managed to get in a PI sale - only £75 for a Friday and Saturday night  York accommodation is incredibly expensive. I also used up a 50% off mains and a £25 Bella Italia gift card for Friday night dinner, hot chocolate in Neros using my completed loyalty stamped cards and we had our free Picture and piano drinks
apart from these attempts at self restrain the budget has been well and truly bust“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Sainsburys - with the catalinas only giving out 200 pointers we didn't bother topping up again on fuel this afternoon
all I got was the bare necessity- three lots of £10 shops each with the COS items - wine, dry cat and also two shops had the energy balls for shopimum plus the odd bit of muggle shop.
My store didnt have any of the Iams sachets and none due until Friday  so I got the dry food instead and I ended up juggling the shops a bit to get each to the tenner total
In the reduced section we found quite a few Iams small packs half price at £1.50 so these topped up my shops and the final fourth £10 shop was Iams and sausages.
We just used up the last dry cat food in the house so at least the cats are sorted out for a while - wine, cat food and loo paper being the essentials of life
So £10.50 back on COS plus another £3 on shopimum, receipts for shoprize, £1 coupon, double points - also 2 of my COS accounts I can withdraw on now, just hanging on incase the iams sachets go back into stock early.
Total spend I think £42
Each shop only gave me 200 points “Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

So I spent £45 on petrol and just over £10 in store and I got 5000, 200, 200, 500 and finally another 200.
I'm very happy with that. One of the SA's in the petrol station said she had only give out 2 x 5000 pointers all day so I know how lucky I have been.
And who local to me has got their OH so well trained to fill up in tenners while they were instore paying each go. :rotfl:0 -
Well done Tinyshoes.

Dm advised last night to fill up!.

Can I ask if the 1000 points from the virgin Choo Choo offer shows on your statements as no bonus points are on mine yet?

Sad to read about the deaths of the two 18 year olds on the thread this weekend.
So devastating for the families involved.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -

I think it was a 'bonus points added in 28 days' deal CG.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -

Well done TS! I put in another tenner today and did another three shops, including the COS wine but they were all 200 pointers. The young chap in the petrol station said they were all 200 points today so I clearly did much better going on Friday. I'm still happy with a 10% discount, in effect, and I also got points and a 200 voucher from someone in front of me at the checkout who didn't have a Nectar card and let me have his points.0
