I have a Phillips Sonicare, my hygienist recommended one to me, but it is only a basic model. I got it cheap in the Boots 75% off few years ago and just had it packed away until last year.
Those ultrasonic ones are a bit expensive aren't they. But you are right would probably be good for me. I have to be good now I have paid out to have this done. Can already feel my teeth are less sensitive, didn't even realise they were.
I have the philips sonicare. When I upgrade I always by the previous years version - often at half price. If it was the best available last year it's good enough for me. I did read an article online which told you which were the best heads (diamond clean I think) and which models those heads fit. The trick is to buy the latest heads available for your base, far cheaper than buying the new base. And always buy new heads from legitimate sources, a lot of fakes around.
Just spent 90 minutes talking to car insurer, reminding them of their claim to give named drivers NCD credit when they take out their own policy. After some prodding they agreed. Also cheaper to agree to add another car to the policy when it renews later in the year, so get a multi car policy with just one car on it. Bizarre, but it saved money.
Good luck moving home bubbs tomorrow; knock 'em dead with your car.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. As I've been checking wombles, I'm looking at the S prices and I hate to say that there's nothing much jumping out cheap at the minute.
Even the cashback items are highly priced in S:o

Catch up covers many of the channels but every now and again you find something isn't on there, or it has expired before you watch it
. Our issue is the boxes seem to be recording 24/7 .

Trouble I find out with catch up the programmes with adverts don't seem to fast forward so I get annoyed taking longer to watch while I am waiting for daft adverts to finish :mad:0 -

From reading various forums, actually putting in your 30 days notice seems to prompt the best offers (not just threatening to - as putting it in gets a different team of retentions staff involved who have better deals!). The best Sky retentions deal I have seen recently was 75% off TV plus £100 account credit (didn't pay attention to bb/phone as I don't have them with Sky).
The Discovery issue will be confirmed tomorrow, if they don't agree then it opens the door for cancellations (and that may prompt even better retention deals if lots put in their notice).
I am just a few weeks off being able to put in my notice for VM and Sky so need to make a some decisions about what we want this time - currently 2 x Tivo with all channels apart from movies and Sport (movies on NowTV!), 1 x Sky+HD, VM 100 bb and phone line/weekend calls. Paying around £65 for all that. Phone line is a ridiculous £19 per month (£16 pm if paid a year in advance) - but with VM you can have a deal without the phone line and the price then goes higher
Time to dig out my spreadsheet to compare deals.
Sky, VM and BT have all put up their prices by much more than inflation over recent years, not at all justifiable .

Thanks Anon, I'll pass this on to him. I know last time he rang them I'd drilled it in to him to say he wanted to leave Sky and he did get a good deal. Like I said VM isn't available for us where we are but there are decisions to be made xxThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

All the toiletries/liquids you take in your hand luggage must fit into one of the stupid plastic bags they provide.....oh and if they are being particularly difficult, they will insist they you are able to seal the bag too! Well that has been our experience at Gatwick.
N was telling me off when we went through Gatwick last year. It is meant to be one clear bag but I just used 2 different trays to send through the scanner and was fine.
I travel makeup free but still couldn't get my face creams and eye drops in one little bag.
On the subject of those clearing beauty stash I don't consider mine too bad. I have a lot of tresemme and the JF from mr shoes who gave me double my order. I have the 29p shower gels and various odds and sods like suncream ect but a lot of this will go to dd and ds2s gf when I see them and am not on the train. I gave a couple of big free beauty boxes away at xmas to nieces.
I do love my face creams but that's due to medication making my skin very sensitive. I like to have the one I am using plus a spare but use 4 different products. Make up I usually just have one of each product I am currently using but I don't wear often so can keep a tight rein on it.
I find beauty boxes sell very well on fb so when I have a decent amount of freebies or unwanted gifts I sell mystery boxes. Always sell well but as I have a monthly you beauty box there are often extra bits I don't want. One box I got a face oil worth £40 so it is my monthly £7 indulgence and as I say I get good money for unwanted bits mixed in with free with purchase gifts.
My total toiletry stash easily fits into 3 cheap plastic storage boxes. I imagine many have more.
The no buying toiletries thread I have always thought this was for people with expensive make up buying habits not those of us with elite ways.

I have a Now TV box which turns my TV into a smart TV. There is a one off cost and then it just uses your wifi. I can't recommend it too highly.
