If I were to travel on Virgin trains where should I go - perhaps a short journey from Glasgow or Birmingham? But to where? (and when?) Am I a child travelling on my own?
Should my DW who has a different numbered nectar card on the same account also book a ticket? You have been very helpful on this TM
She certainly has and a please and thanks wouldn't go amiss..."He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Went to Staples today and bought some "Really Useful Box" 64L storage boxes. Very sturdy, and they were £9 each (when you buy 3 or more) at a store in Hampshire.
There was a poundstretcher nearby which had a few bargains (the very cheap things were either BBE Dec16 or Jan17).
Melba toast 10p
Heinz chicken soup (reduced salt) 10p
Pocco choclate biscuit bars (5) 10p
Lotus Biscoff 25p
Colgate sugar acid neutralizer toothpaste 75ml 50p
Nestle chocolate (180g) 25p (no large kit kats)
Tomatoes with chilli carton 10p
John West Tuna in mayonnaise with sweetcorn 10p
Kellogs Nutrigrain crunchy duo - choc chip (5) 10p
McVities Flapjack bars(5) 25p0 -
Evening all
Very lazy day today, football was cancelled so haven't left the house
Well done bubbs on the no smoking
TM in answer to your question it started so well and ended so bad, in fact I think I have now spent more this month than any other month so my aim is to have a very low spend next month xOne cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0 -

150 points when you buy any two Natural collections items valid until Val’s Day
Lowest priced items seem to be £1.99 each.
500 points for buying one Yves Saint Laurent product valid until Val’s Day.
Looked at prices and I am no longer constipated!!
100 Points when you buy any Lights by TENA liners valid Val’s
Lowest price £1.50. Not bad net price for personal use.
75 points when you buy a Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-Up Remover or Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil (Geesh, did they need to make the product name sooooo loooong?) Valid Val’s
Cheapest 1st one £4.49, 2nd £6.99 !
OMG, to me it is true what they say, companies DO charge women too much for products!
P.S. Remember to always take a few coupons that you think you will never use, just in case they have a reduced shelf full of something useful to make points on (BH tip No. 52)
P.P.S. I know what I am buying with points

Ewan is a wonderful sheep and great item for the bedtime routine. DGD used to go to sleep with him on and dd used to put him back on for the dream feed. When dgd got to around 7 months she could turn him on herself. Each foot has a different noise and the heart beat was my favourite sent me to sleep every time.
Worth every penny and my go to gift for a baby shower.

Evening all, we have had unexpected visitors this weekend so I've been AWOL.
Eldest son and his GF had a dinner date on Saturday night with friends locally and so were popping in to see us en route for coffee and cake and bringing presents.
I said that rather than do the hour journey home late on Saturday night they could stay over if they liked. They said they were doing a run around Edgbaston reservoir on Sunday morning so they declined
So I said no problem, if they changed their mind or the weather went fowl or the M6 turned into a carpark then they knew where we were.
So on Saturday night they changed their minds and I was changing beds . Sunday morning it was bacon and sausage baps on part baked baguettes but they didn't get out of bed in time to do a run
Inevitably when they finally set off for home they forgot the bag with the trainers in so they had to do a turn around and come back again, fortunately they had not got as far as the M6 - last time it was eldest sons house keys he left behind and the time before it was a parcel he had had delivered ...
such fun :j“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I've just been looking at this weeks calendar and there was a reminder to check TCB to see if my Mr !!!!!! twine cashback from September had gone through.
so I went to check and the twine cashback had gone through on time but also a miracle had happened - the Hilton hotel cashback had finally gone through :j
The booking was made last February and the stay was in March 2016. Shortly after this Hilton stopped being on Q and TCB. My cashback finally went into the pending column in October 2016 and since then I've been nudging TCB every few weeks with very little hope of it ever going into the payable column but finally ... I did one booking via mine and one through OHs TCB so about £35 in total :T“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
