PD, I am trying without success to perfect my coffee & walnut cake.
I can do a damn good cake, but have NEVER been able to do a decent butter icing, ever.
Tips and recipes for coffee butter icing please. (That request is to everyone really, not just PD)

Can anyone explain how the W bargains work with PYO and multi buys. I'm yet to be brave and try it. Do you have to buy a certain number of items? My new shiny card is burning a hole in my purse and needs a try out. Any tips greatly appreciated...and any bargains to add to my picks x

I don't have a recipe, I chuck everything in a bowl until it looks right :rotfl:

But what do you put in, just butter, icing sugar and......?
Butter icing really is my nemesis!!!?

Edit: And do you use an electric whisk to mix it
Do you leave it to rest before putting it on, etc.

There is somewhere where you can click to see it in the old (traditional) design, much more user friendly (well it is if you dont like change )

A stand mixer or electric whisk if I can't be arsed to clean the former. Dammit, now I want coffee and walnut cake! I use buttercream straight away, but it can be made up to a week in advance and left in the fridge. Just take it out of the fridge a couple of hours before and give it a wee whisk before you use it.
