It seems that CSJ do not themselves test on animals though they may use products that have been - they are in the group described as the 'lesser evil'

I went in yesterday and almost fainted at the original cost, also to me 70% off still looked just about what I would pay for stuff if I had to. Seems to me that you just need to put crud in a gaudy cardboard box and call it a gift set and mark it up 400% and muggles will buy it.
