How sad Rose. I hope my DS will have more thought than that, actually I'm sure he will and he is quite money savvy too, but it is part of my current mission to begin the huge de-clutter so that there is not too much to go through when we are gone.
I agree maybe its better to do it yourselves to save your children having to do it. My Mum has a house and garage full of stuff and everytime one of us clears something my oldest sister takes her to car boot to buy more stuff.
I am starting my own declutter this month as OH is moving back in with me in Feb or March and is having his own bedroom which at the moment is full of my DD's stuff even though she been gone for over 2 years. I have a laundry basket on the landing with Ebay items and doing a couple a night. We need to empty the loft and the shed also.
It seems weird but I am oddly excited that I will have less stress moneywise and wont be on my own. But he is having a man cave/shed built in the garden for his lounge so it wont be too bad. He will have been sober 9 years in February!!0 -
Morning
Can I ask for some help possibly though pm's
If I recall correctly there are a couple of ops who have children with autism
I have a couple who work for the same company as me who are really struggling with their son. I have some knowledge of the system and have offered to help to look into what they may be entitled to PIP /tax credits etc , classroom assistant in case he cant get into the special school (may not be the correct wording)
Just wondering if there is anything more I can research to help them
They are generally too proud to accept help and its taken me a year to get them to this stage but they are so struggling now
Thanks
An assessment by social care/education should ensure that they have access to the services that meet his needs.
It will probably be DLA that they will need to claim on their child's behalf (if under 16) this is not means tested and may also open up carers allowance.0 -

My Mums neighbour died last year and her relatives basically put most of her belonging ( loads of books ) out on the pavement for rubbish. I put the books in my boot and after taking out ones I though would sell I took rest to charity shop. She was a teacher who taught Idi Amin's children for many years and had some really old Books. I sell one about once a month but usually get a £5.00. It was quite sad they even threw out her wedding pics.
My Grandad out of spite gave his house to the lady that came to clean. My mam didn't even know for 6 weeks after he died. He had a really cheap funeral and the lady and her husband emptied the house out the day after he died. She was still claiming housing benefit for the council house she was no longer living in.
He was a truly awful man and wasn't happy unless he made us all cry at least once a visit. Didn't want any of his stuff but wanted some nice things of my Nanna's which he wouldn't let us haveI have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

Good afternoon Elite.
Hope everyone is warm, happy and well. Hugs to those not so.
I'm glad the furries are doing better. And hopefully Mrs Tiggywinkle is responding to the special care.
I'm trying to fill in a job application form but I'm pants at selling myself. Anyone have any good phrases that don't sound too pompous?“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -

Thats really sad. My Mum has told us to take things if we want them whenever we want but that in itself causes a problem as my oldest sister objects to that0 -
Just noticed on CS that they have only paid out for one of the Freddos, has anyone else had this? Tia...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

''Transferable skills include......'' is one way to go about this.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0
