I use pressure cooker every day, like matty I prefer it to the steamer. It's quicker and no steam in kitchen. I've got a Prestiqe Hi Dome. To reduce pressure quickly I just let the cold tap gently run water over the side of the lid, making sure it doesn't run over the safety valve.

My only moan is the cost of replacement band for in the kid and the safety valve. I have to drive a round trip of 6 miles to get them as we don't have a hardware store and the supermarkets don't have them

Do you have to replace them often?

Can you wear a vest under the dress? It really does make a big difference.

I do, but only for the Christmas pudding these days.

I won't get the dress on if I wear anything under it bar my bra and knickers. :rotfl:

Which is a shame as I just remembered I still have those 4p thermal ones.

Depends how often you use them. Various prices for different styles and brands. A Hi Dome is suitable for a family, I imagine you'd manage with a smaller, flat lidded one :)
