Yes it plugs in and was on all the time , although not now and a new one ordered, the other heaters are on a timer, and have been since we left

You need a timer to go with the new one, if not you will be forever wondering if you left it on next time you have to vacate. I know if I do something like that I have to check repeatedly before I trust myself enough the next time.

Could you not turn the gas/electric off at source or do you want to leave them on incase of freezing?

Just been making broccoli and stilton soup, and realised I never took my bouquet garni bag out before blending it. Hey ho, doubt there will be anything in it that can kill me.

    Think you will live :D

Bubbs, you can get the tube ones with a thermostat built in for under £20 at toolstation and the likes.

We knew we had left it on , it is on all the time when we are there, cant put it on a timer as the wire goes through the wall and plugs into the same socket as the f/freezer
