But do they still give the 1p?
I'll find out soon enough with my own claim i guess

You mean 5 profitable freddos
They may well be profitable...but me thinks freddo has shrunk since I last bought one....but then again the last time I bought one they were 10p....and that might have been 12 years ago!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

A friend of mine looks after her grandchild one full day each week whilst her son and dil go to work. I asked her if she was claiming national insurance credits, as these can count towards her state pension....she did not know about this...but is now going to claim. So it occurred to me....are the elite who care for their grandchildren aware of this?

Yes, DD and I filled in a form for the last tax year. I don't know if it will make any difference to me for that year as I could possibly have enough credits already as I worked till the end of October 2015 (as well as having the kids) and then of course I had them more after I stopped, but no harm in putting it in anyway.
You claim in the autumn after the tax year in question, so that the system has time to register all the previous year's parental NI info, so that it is ready and waiting to be claimed against.
The form can be filled in online then printed off for signatures.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

They are shockingly small....but I was already walking to the shops to buy a single carrot for our snowman's nose and this took the sting off :rotfl:
Between 3 accounts we've got 15 freddos for a profit of about £1.50  :money:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

1 x Mumm Cordon Rouge £33
2 x nicolas feuillatte £32

So a rough total of 3 x value.
